Mmm, I don't think it will hurt it. But most people just put it in a cool place. Out of the sunlight.

Leave it out in the open. If you refrigerate your shisha it will dry out early. I have tobacco over 2 years old that has been sitting out in the open that is still nice and wet. Put tobacco in the fridge for even a few weeks or a month and it'll be bone dry or close to it. Especially if you place it in the freezer. Hope I helped. Oh and this is all my opinion. Basically I heard it was fact from one member but since I cant verify it I'll just say its my opinion. Hope I helped.

The heat is not going to hurt it.

the reason it is clumping up is because the fridge is extracting moisture from the air with it's compressor. This will, in turn, extract moisture from the tobacco. The same way that if you leave wet food in the fridge uncovered it dries out really quickly. Ever had poultry be uncovered and turn so dry it's almost jerky like?

This man knows what he is talking about!

I live in Houston, hot and humid, and I just leave mine on a shelf. Never have had a problem doing that.

My only issue with refrigeration is that the tobacco comes out cold and it takes longer to warm and get going and thus imho drying out the top layer before it had a chance to really get cooking

Another good point that I didn't even think of.

yeah, as you can see everyone has some valid points. the majority of us and i mean about 95% of us leave our tobacco on a shelf or just somewhere out of direct sunlight. the need to refrigerate actually with take away from the life of your tobacco.

I keep mine in a box. Only time mine is in the light is when I pack a bowl.

You're better off putting in a cool dry place outside your fridge. The fridge dehydrates things and is not a good place for your shisha.

I put mine in the shelf as well. I never thought putting it in the fridge would be good. You can get some funky smells in a fridge and unless your container truly is airtight, it will take on the smell.

I've never tried it, but I imagine that not only will it dry out more... but that it would take longer for it to smoke correctly.

If you put the tobacco in the bowl directly from the fridge then
1. It will probably take longer to heat up the necessary amount to smoke the best.
2. It will heat unevenly, leaving the bottom tobacco colder longer than the top and probably doing something undesired that I can't predict.
