Unhappy *sigh

So I've searched the forums and can't find anything, even though I'm sure this has been asked before. Does anyone have any tips for taking apart a stuck hookah, I've been leaving together and just running a brush through it but apparently that was not enough and now its stuck

whats stuck?

your post doesn't make sense lol

but you cant take a hookah apart unless its unscrewable... if i am understanding you correctly.. your brush got stuck in the stem right?.. to get it out you need a hanger to push it back out.. orr something long enough and skinny enough to fit in there

I think he means he hasn't disassembled his rig in a while and somehow it's not coming apart? Try running hot water near the grommet I think that could do t

yeah it;s a sahara, sorry for the vagueness, I mean the stem, like i said i usually leave it all together and just run a brush through it but today i tried taking it apart to scrub it down really good and it won't come apart, i've tried soaking it in hot water. i think it just might be lesson learned....

I had the same issue, an hour long soak in a lightly acidic-water solution (hot) enabled me to unscrew the beast though.
You totally ninja'd my post BTW

blah... soak it. soap it .. and use muscle. other then that if you use any solution to lube it it may cause rust.. if you really cant get it.. you can still give it a good cleaning without taking it apart

See if you can find some spray silicone and try to spray it around the problem area and hope that it'll soak into the screw a little bit. Then, you just gotta use muscle.

For the next time, make sure you spray it with silicone right away so this won't happen again.

PB Blaster! Just make sure to wash it REALLY good after as it is poisonous. Silicone spray would be good to prevent it from getting stuck in the future but as far as I know it is poisonous as well.

Anyways, just my $0.02

Nobody mentioned pliers. I have a chinese that gets stuck if I don't take it apart after each use. Muscle it if you want to, it can be done, but pliers are so much easier and take less time.

If you do this get ones with plastic inserts as to not scratch the metal. Or you can pad the pliers with something similar if you don't have the proper ones to begin with.

Not all silicone sprays are toxic. There is an edible version used in food prep and brewing.
