Default HELP: Should I gamble on a faulty Narbish hose?

Whats up everyone,

I am a super broke college student (in process of finding a new job. Got an interview next week ). I had a party last weekend and somehow my hose got ruined, and now I am in search of a new hose. Should I go ahead and gamble on a faulty Narbish hose from Hookah John for 12 bucks? He said Narbishes have a 20% fail rate. The odds seem in my favor. I think I want to invest. And if anyone has any extra hoses they dont use, PM me

Mine is still going strong and has had no issues. When it does finally break (if that happens) they are fairly easy to fix.

I picked up one of those hoses from him last week and its great. It feels a little more restricted than my KM hose but its washable so I use it more and I get way more smoke out of it compared to my KM.

BTW I'm a poor college student too! haha

It sucks being broke, but I am making due. I just saw that Nazarhook has Razans going for $21 I think I will purchase there instead.

^^ Haha yeah I am too. Having a campus job rocks! (I'm an RA) Between my Narbish and my KM though, I like the KM more. My KM has barely any restriction whereas the Narbish has just a bit more. Though I'm pretty sure its because its ~12" longer haha.

Either way though, the Razan is a great hose from what I've read so you can't go wrong either way!

Edit: And if you can, save and try and order a bunch of stuff at the same time haha. That way shipping isn't so bad

I had the v1 and had no problems at all with it

About a month ago I got a KM from him w/ a new Narbish and it leaked but he replaced it right away and works great

I hate to threadjack but Koapono, is there any different in draw between the V1 and the v3?

The V stands for version. The V1 is the first production of narbish hoses that were proven to have less than perfect construction. Being the kind of guy he is John let everyone know of the problems and got a second version made that was stronger while he still had a ton of V1s. The V2 had the mouth pieces glued in (John wanted removable mouth pieces) so he came out with the V3. It's the latest model and thus far seems to be very well made. John's very careful about making sure what he sells is as good as it can be.

Actually it's both, the wrapping was a little loose and after a while the joint between the hose and the handle or the port end breaks loose (bad glue). They are fairly easy to fix though, and then you have yourself a great hose.

Can't you wait a week to smoke and then buy a fully functional one?
