Default Is Starbuzz safe to store in the tins?

I have seen many people store their Starbuzz in the tins that it comes in, but my question is, do the tins rust from the moisture of the tobacco?

I've had the tins rust on me, so I tend to put the tobacco in a bag.

if you think it's going to sit for a while i would prolly just put it in a ziplock bag and put in the can. the cans aren't air tight so if not rusting the shisha could dry up fast when using the can.

I'm in the same boat is Mad_Hatter here. I have heard that the tins work and I've heard that the only thing they're good for is an expensive riser for wind covers. I think it mostly comes down to how quickly you smoke each flavor. If its your favorite flavor and you smoke 2 bowls a day of it, it will probably be fine by the time you run out. If you don't smoke that quickly it is probably more likely to dry out or rust on you. For the extra effort to put the tobacco in a bag, it might be worth it. If you're worried about the tobacco drying out(because after all, the glycerin based water weight is what you pay the premium price for) store it in a bag and keep it out of direct sunlight and you can't go wrong.

I haven't had it rust on me before. I had probably about 3 or 4 tins of starbuzz sitting around from my little year and a half break and one of them hasn't changed. The others were a bit tough to get open but once i cleaned out the last little bit that couldn't even cover the bottom of a bowl they look good, next to the scratches from using tongs to get the tobacco out

I would generally keep it is something plastic, either a bag or container. Metals tend to react with things, and i wouldnt trust putting anything like shisha in it as surely it wouldnt be good it something reacted. To keep it safe use a ziplock bag and then put it in there, at leas you have peace of mind knowing that the shisha if fine!

I bag em and put them back in the tin to keep it from drying out whatsoever as the tin isn't air tightand can rust overtime

I would put it in a plastic bag, then the tin. If the tins didn't stack so well they would be worthless. I have not had any problems with that black mold stuff with this method.

Hmm it seems pretty mixed on rusting/no rusting. I'll just play it safe and put it in a zip-lock inside of the tin. Thanks everyone.

I never had a problem with rust, I have had some sitting for 2-3 months. I bag them now, because they tend to leak when I take them around.

I've had some Blue Mist sitting in the can for a couple of weeks now. It hasn't posed much of a problem, but I've noticed rust on the lip of the tin.

A couple weeks isn't a problem. Anything over that, and it could start to rust. I've had SB tins rust on me if I don't use a ziploc.

I really like those tins. I've thought before of maybe lining the tin with wax (probably melted from a candle) would prevent it from rusting. This might be silly but I don't like messing with ziplocs or anything and the idea of just opening up a fashionable tin and pulling tobacco directly from it seems divine.

Of course, the wax lining would be fragile and probably crumble into the shisha if you weren't careful... so does anyone have any more ideas?

Maybe I could just tape in wax paper or something...

Haven't tried it with Starbuzz but I did it with Romman Ivory Coast by putting the shisha directly on the tin and DON'T DO IT. I've tried smoking it but there is no way ignoring that something is very wrong with the shisha and it looks like crap. Literally.
