Default apple bowl problems

Hey guys,
I wasnt in the mood to clean a bowl after i was smoking so i decided to use a apple as the bowl like in a video i saw of sambooka (great vids btw). I made a pretty nice bowl and am using 2 small cubes of diamante coals. problem is, i cannot get any smoke out of it. Its airtight and the coals take up the whole bowl area so its got plenty of heat.

Was just wondering if anyone had any pointers for me. I think im going to try to make a windcover to get some more smoke.

you think you have enough heat but you dont, chances are the shisha is further away from the foil or screen, get as much coal on there as you can, the moisture from the apple not only flavors it but makes it harder to cook, crank up the heat, confirm air tight seal

You need a bit more heat with an apple bowl. A windcover could help to build up some heat, but you could end up cooking the apple.

Try packing a little bit more tobacco and use just a tad more coal. See how that goes? Let us know.

Thanks for the comment on the Apple Bowl Video!

from personal experience stay away from the wind cover idea, the heat radiate so much it started to bake the apple and it fell apart, not worth the mess to try and save the coal

You have to remember that the juice from the apple is keeping the shisha wet longer, if you use less coals, it'll take longer to evaporate and start smoking, if you use more coal, you'll get smoke quicker.

Once you get it, you'll love it. Put some diluted apple juice in the base with some NDA. Mmmm.. Happy Smoking!
