Default Stiff hoses

So i got a new hookah a while back, and the hoses it came with were squeezed into a bag. the hoses now look really zigzaggy, is there anyway i could straighten them?

well a typical hose has a metal wire inside of them which would make it extremely difficult to "re-straighten" and very easy to kink. If it hasn't been too long I would hit up the company that shipped you the hookah. If that doesn't go well just try two sets of pliers to get the kinks out. I highly doubt they will go back to "normal" however you make be able to make it a little better.

Doubt they will come back but what you can try is hanging them over your shower rod and running hot steamy water and see if the steam will loosen em up and help straighten them out.

I run hot water through mine to help loosen them up and straighten out a bit.

If they arent washable hoses, running hot water through them will rust the metal coils and you will get a nasty smoke and possibly get sick. Be careful doing that.

Yeah most new hookahs come with the standard type hoses and since he said it came with his hookah and was coiled up in a bag I am assuming it is the standard type with an inner coil. Now the Nammor on the other hand I run hot water through mine as well and it helps alot. Love that damn thing LOL

Might be difficult or impossible to straighten out... Try hanging it for a while like others have said. If that doesn't work out, then you just might have to live with it. My Nammoor hose is a little stiff as well (compared to a typical thinner Mya hose), and I just have to live with the bends that it has.

If they aren't 100% washable, DO NOT RUN WATER thru them. Those types of hoses, I hang over the steam pipe i have running thru my apt with small weights tied to the ends. after a day or two, they seem to straighten out - if they are kinked, you might have to worry about new hoses. only one of mine came like this, but it was a very poorly made cheap hose, so i just tossed it anyways.

washable hoses are alittle easier to straighten, run ultra hot water thru them for a few min, then strech them (carefully now, don't pull off the end tips) and then let them lay out straight to cool.

But nammors, this trick doesn't seem to work very well. (or home-made mod hoses either). I have a nammor with kinks in it STILL so I can't help you there much.

I've had the same thing with my MYA hose. There pretty much is not way of fixin' 'em :[

IMO, as long as they work and smoke good, it shouldn't matter how it looks

no, but you have to be extra careful with a kinked hose - it tends to try and make the hookah more tippable (is that even a word?)

I ran hot water through them and let them dry hanging. It seems to be helping, I'll try it again later today
