Default coals moving around

So the last two bowls that i smoked, which were last night my coals were moving around from where i put them towards the center or the outside. it was driving me nuts.
Is the foil too tight, or too loose? anything i should try.
it hasnt happened before.. and the only thing i can think of is the plate i put under my hookah is doing something. i dont no what, but maybe its enough for them to slide around. might be slightly tilting it.
but is there anything i should check?

using Reynolds HD foil
and a clay Egyptian bowl
hookah is a KM 36" trimetal doubt that helps but hey its info

it was also the last set of coals in the box... maybe it knows lol

Its just the vibration from the water / pipe moving the coals around.

One of my rigs did that, I just made a small diffuser to cut down the size of the bubbles and the problem went away instantly.

oh i was also thinking that i didnt have enough holes in the foil and that was causing it to suck the foil in and out and move them

If you dont normally keep it on a plate, take it off.

Usually too much water will add extra vibration as well, since the air has more room to expand / travel before it reaches the surface.

ya im going to try removing plate. i use an AF tub to measure out the perfect amount of water for my vase. it takes 2 full tub fulls. and thats where its always at. so i doubt its to much water. its maybe the plate or just not enough holes would be my guess.
now i want to get home and test this lol
