Default Need help with homemade hoses.

Ok, so since I found out today that my hoses are non-washable after washing them plenty of times, I'm going to make some new hoses tomorrow morning out of food grade tubing using the ends of my current hoses. I seem to have run into a problem, I can not for the life of me get these endings off. I have pulled as hard as I can on them and they will not budge. Should I cut them as short as I can? Help

Try a hairdryer on the ends it makes the glue turn back into a liquid and might make it easier to pull off the ends, or do the smart thing and buy a large nammor, nammors are great hoses

well if you're getting rid of the old hose.. why won't you just cut the hose to get the ends off

I don't want too much of the old hose to be stuck inside of the endings, so I figured pulling them out would get most of the house out? Idk

The hose goes into the endings. About 3/4" or so. Hose is male, endings are female. Cutting the hose at the endings would leave about 3/4" of hose inside of the endings.

We had to cut the hoses, then pry out the rest of the hose with a screw driver. A lot of times there is another coil or two down there. Use a heat gun to melt the glue if you need to. It worked really well though for me. I've made a few of them over the years. Make sure you work the tube a lot so it's not so stiff. It will knock your hookah over!

Thanks Korn; I managed to get 3 of the 4 endings off but I'm now stuck with another problem. Each ending has a metal tube sticking out of it which the metal coil was wrapped around, there doesn't seem to be any rust on the inside of this 1" metal tube. As seen in the picture, the one on the left has the metal tube removed, while the one on the right still has it in. Should I remove this tube?

Oh I'm sorry, the pictures were showing up on my computer, I'll host them at PB and post them again:

That's what I intended on doing too. The metal piece came off when I pulled the hose off. I will probably just glue it back onto the wood. Or I can find a piece of plumbing tomorrow that is like a male-male connector, stick one end into the wood and put the hose around the other end.
