I know EXACTLY which one you're talking about, the one on the Southside is horrible, I never really go there much anymore because I have my own hookah.

The only "lounge" I've been to was a place in Madison, WI. I can't remember the name of the place even, it's been so many years since I was there. But, they served hookah as well as flavored martinis. I was in Madison for a business conference and was kind of bored so I thought I'd check it out. I had no idea what a hookah bar was then. The people working there were very friendly and informational. I have to admit that they were one of the reasons I developed an interest in smoking hookah. It was fun and entertaining. However, a six hour drive to Madison to smoke a hookah is a bit out of line so needless to say I've never been back there. Smoke happy.

I don't go because usually the selection of tobacco sucks, i'm not a big SB fan or anything of the sort, i instead smoke at mine or friends homes. Plus i have a hard time paying 20 dollars for one bowl when i know i can get 250gm for 20 or less.

I have never had a good lounge experience but I would love to open a lounge one day because I feel that there are so many bad lounges that it really has a negative effect on the whole hobby.

Reading all of this really makes me wish I had the money to put into opening a lounge. With tools like this running lounges and in theory making enough money to stay open, imagine how much cash you could pull down doing it right.

I know what you mean, I would love to open my own lounge, it seems like you could make a really nice niche for yourself just by having great service, anything more than that would be icing on the cake for your customer

all the hookah lounges/bars here in Oklahoma are pretty good actually, the one here in Ada is called Mazin's Hookah Bar, nice place, friendly staff, who will actually sit & chill w/you for a bit if their not not busy, understandable prices on sessions $11 for regular & $18 for premium, 2 people per hookah though, HUGE projection screen tv, the owner, Mazin is pretty chill too, he'll come chat w/you and make sure you're enjoying yourself, belly dancers every other friday night, open from 12pm-12am weekdays & 12pm-3am weekends, i want to do a vid review on the place but i need a cam that does low light, they keep it pretty dim w/nice ambient lighting, and the hookahs they use are nefertiti which look kinda like KMs http://www.kingoftobacco.com/category.jhtm?cid=24 pretty nice imo

The best I've ever been to is the Egyptian in Indianapolis. Great middle eastern food, good shisha and the place is run like a real restaurant instead of a place for the employees to hang out. They do use QLs but when Madwolf Puck and I brought our own naturals they were happy to light them for us.

Hey Capt, there are a couple of establishments in the Galeria area not too far from you that have good food and serve hookahs. I forgot the names but one is on Westmier and the other on Richmond. Its been a couple of years but they are not expensive at all.

I've been to a lounge once with my wife and will never go back again. The place was in Lisle, Il called Dhwan. It was owned by a pakistani and it sucked so if you live in that area and thinking about going, forget it. We went in the winter and the temp outside was in the 20s but inside not much warmer. The place was dark and very smokey eventhough they only had 2 tables occupied at the time. We sat down on filthy couches with fiilthy carpet on the floor. We ordered 2 hookahs for $32 and were given 2 QL coals each. The menu list additional coals were extra. There was nothing to eat except some "gold fish" snacks and coke was the only choice of refreshment. We were able to last about 30-40 min and left since we were about to catch a cold. We ended up spending about $45. This was my first and last time. For this price I can a nice MZ hookah and 3 packs of AF and this can last me over 6 months.
