Hey some of you might know that ive been building an external cooling mechanism for my hookah.

The original design

was a little to big. so when i got home and saw the size of the cooler i modified it a little. then used electrical tape to test and see if this idea was worth it... and let me tell you from the test.. that lasted about 15mins before the pipes flooded was amazing. it was like the breeze you get when you open the fridge on a hot summer day. but i want more
so i got to work this morning and improved the whole idea.
Here is some concept art of the new and improved Hookah-Rator.

Once the glue dries i will take a better pic. but so you have an idea of what it looks like.
I hope that by the time work is out i can use it.. dont no yet till that time comes. i will also post a video when i get it going for your visual needs

if you have questions feel free to ask

haha its fine.. ive tried explaining it to people and it only functions in my head right now lol

i will have a hose going into the hookah-rator where it says smoke in.. that will be where i connect a hose to the hookah. then i will have a hose coming out where it says smoke out.. that will connect to a hookah hose. and thats where you would smoke from.. all chill lol

oh and the whole hookah-rator will be in a small cooler on the side of my hookah.. filed with ice and water. maybe salt to get that water even colder.
left that part out lol

wouldn't it be easier using a copper coil, with a fan on the coil acting like a traditional radiator

haha computers use the same principle, forced air. Old beetles are air cooled, without fluid.

I'm wondering if you're not overthinking this. Copper is a great conductor, but with all the bends and T junctions that thing is going to be impossible to clean. And you're going to have to do that eventually. Otherwise that copper is going to oxidoze and collect all kinds of weird flavors.
I'm just not seeing how it would do any better than a three foot section of plastic tubing coiled inside a cooler full of icewater.

plastic doesnt conduct as much heat. cooper is better at keeping cold and getting cold. the difference is like gold and silver.. silver tarnishes while gold doesnt

thats why i have sections. so i can clean it.. a little vinegar bath will do it good.
the T bends make the smoke move around cooling it more. if its a straight pipe its really not doing much, just shooting through.

Ooh, sweet! If you haven't thought of this or tried it you should pack rock salt in with the ice and water mix. Drop that temperature as LOW as possible!

that was really the whole point of this. cuz i dont want to do it in the vase like some people have done and tried. this is so its on the outside. and is really expendable. im sure if i paid for all this..it would have cost me like 20 bucks with cooler and all
