Unhappy Terrible news, New pipe to no pipe?!

I was out of town for a few days visiting my parents while I'm on my college spring break and my buddy called me to let me know that my new Km Silk Butterfly just arrived and that he can't wait to smoke it with me.

SO I just got back in town today and he was driving over to my place with my brand new Km still all wrapped up in the packaging which it was shipped in when he was in a nasty car accident. He was rear ended by someone going 50 or 60 mph when he was stopped at a red light. When I found out this news I was so upset that my friend could possible be injured or worse. Thank god that he was let out of the hospital after 6 hours and was okay he was just shaken up with minor bruises. His car on the other hand needs extensive repairs and may need to be replaced.

Unfortunately for me my new pipe was in his trunk I have no idea if it is broken or not because his car was towed away, so I'll find out when we get his car back tomorrow if everything is okay. It was my brand new order from John with a Km, a vortex, some tobacco, a narbish, and a wind cover.

I was so excited to have smoke my new pipe with my friend however it just really put things into perspective: I can get a new pipe, I can get new tobacco, He can get a new car, but if anything had happened to him I couldn't just get a new best friend like him.

Guys please take a minute out of your day to tell the people in your life that you really love them and greatly appreciate everything they do for you because you never know when things will take an unexpected turn.

Glad to hear that your friend is okay. I'm sure the hookahs fine because it probably shifted and flew into the back seat from the force. If anything just the base is broken, but who knows, it doesn't break during shipping and I'm sure the package gets thrown around.

Thanks guys this really means a lot, I can always replace a pice I can't replace the friendship I have with him. He is doing well just a bit stiff from the impact. We smoked a bowl out of his hookah and now hes passed out.

Sorry to hear he got into a car wreck and your hookah is in limbo, but I am glad that your friend is still with you! It really does make you take a step back and appreciate all the things you may take for granted when serious things like this happens.

Let us know how your hookah is when you find out!

Good to hear he is fine. However, the pipe probably is not. When you get rear ended at 30 MPH and you are stopped, foot on the brakes, your trunk is likely to take up most of your backseat. At least that is what happened to a friend and I who had our clubs in the trunk - which didn't survive and were eventually replaced. Now at 60 MPH your experience exponentially more force and who knows where the trunk would end up - unless you drive a tank.

Nice post! I am glad your friend will be ok. You hit the nail on the head, friends and family come first, the hookah can be replaced.

Yeah dude great post! I hope your friend is okay and of course your hookah. But like you said you can easily replace those things, a great friend can not be replaced!

Glad to hear your friend in OK. Knowing towing companies, I'd bet your hookah ends up missing. Hopefully it will still be there, and if it is I'm betting you'll need a new vase and vortex at least.

Sad but true.

Glad to hear you friend is ok, could of been pretty bad getting hit at speeds like that. And you are so right nothing can replace the life of a friend.

Glad to hear everything is okay. Your friend got lucky!

Does insurance not cover objects that were destroyed in a car crash?

Glad to here your friend is Ok if the hookah survived you will be able to smoke around a corner with it the new cars of today are built to collapse on impact to absorb energy. Hope it is OK but it can be replaced and the Insurance should cover it. Friends on the other hand is very difficult to find and replace.
