Default Diffuser question

When using a Diffuser. Do you have to submerge the whole diffuser under water?

Have never used one, but common sense would lead me to believe yes, you would have too! With that said, sometimes trial and error works best, and with some things, there are no right/wrong answers... many shades of gray!

On mine I do... you are still trying to "bubble" the smoke through the water. You are just trying to make the bubbles smaller.

In theory the smaller bubbles allow more of the smoke to touch the water thus being cooler and more "filtered". If you were to not submerge the diffuser then the smoke would take the path of least resistance and escape through the holes not submerged, negating the water.

I noticed a huge difference in flavor and cloud quality on my little chinese POS pipe.

Not so much on my KM... Makes a good silencer for movies though.

Diffusers are great. They make it possible for you to sneak up on a ninja and they’ll never hear you coming!

I lot of people claim that they tend to make our smoke less harsh. I'm not completely sure if that true however I will put it to the test myself.

We hear different things as well on the smoke quality with our diffusers. Not sure if it does or doesn't make a difference, but they do make the hookah a lot more quiet. Make sure to put the whole diffuser in the water to make it work.
