Heba makes a diffuser that fits most hookahs. Also, there are some DIY methods like rubber banding cheesecloth or a piece of t-shirt around the stem.

The heba diffuser's instructions claim that their diffuser can fit over mostly any hookah. Including the ones with a ball or hexagon nut at the end. It says that in order to slip it on, you need to run it through hot water and then strech it out over it. I haven't personally tried this, but that's what the instructions that came with it claim. I wrote a review on the heba diffuser since I've been using it for the past few weeks. I think you should read it before considering a purchase...

my km blue pear has a heba diffuser on it right now, i dont take it off ever and to clean it i just pop off the lower end of the diffuser and scrub the hookah. i didnt bother to warm it up and it slipped on fairly easily. but there was previous tearing from another hookah but its not major.

KMs do have an odd shape on the bottom of the stem ... this is designed this way to create a somewhat of a diffuser type effect. It would be harder to fit something over the end, but I am sure it could be done with a little thinking.

I use a heba diffuser on my KM and it fits tight. I use it liek Boom does, take bottom 2 pieces off and leave the sleeve on it all the time.

Heba makes a great difuser like every says, or you can do the Radio Shack style with a microphone cover. I'm not sure whats in DMC video, I can't view youtube on board. But his ideas are well worth looking into.

Hello,

I did read the review and I thought it would not work on the KM. I will get the diffuser then if it will fit. Thanks everyone for the help.

So what all are diffusers for besides making the hookah more quiet and the smoke thicker allegedly? Is there any other benefits to it?

Hello larrypzlast ,

Annother plus to having a diffusers is the water can only clean the outside of the air bubble. If you make the air bubbles smaller the water can clean the incomming air better.

Read my review here:

My personal opinion, it's not worth it at all. Unless you really need something to quiet down the noise, in which case go ahead...

i find that the best thing (besides a razan/nammor and a phunnel bowl) is a windcover. it helps greatly! the diffuser is a nice little addition, but its alot like the phunnel bowl mod. meaning that if you dont have one, you dont need to worry about it.

first focus on getting a razan or a nammor, then get a windcover, then get a small phunnel bowl (so your windcover can go over it).

+1 on that one. Even with my small egyptian (it had a ball at the end too) it wouldn't fit even after the whole "hot water" and "cut a piece of the plastic" method.

The homemade soda can one is great It really does silent the noise, it is crazy. Why pay $20 including shipping when you can make your own for just 75 cents? :P
