Default Simple Green

I don't know if this has been posted before but someone notified me that Simple Green concentrate cleaner that you can buy at your Wal-Mart works wonders for cleaning hookah bowls and especially glass bowls. I know several people who use this to clean various glass pipes and works wonders. Let me know if anyone has any experience with this stuff!

Warm water and a scrub sponge is all you need really. I'd avoid chemicals and soap altogether when it comes to hookah, by fear that it would leave gross-tasting or dangerous residue.

I'm very weary of cleaning with chemicals. I just don't want to be breathing anything in that could be harmful haha. Vinegar and water works for me.

I'm also going have to go aganist using simple green. I use it to degrease engines and clean my engine compartments. After seeing that stuff cut through baked on grease, grit, and oil I don't think I would put it anywhere near something like a hookah.

Plus no matter how much you wash that stuff off it always seems to leave some trace of it, I can clean my engine with it and wash it down like crazy with a pressure hose (last cleaning I did I sprayed the front of the engine down for about 15 minutes to try and get all the cleaner off). As soon as I drive the car around I can smell the simple green burning off.

Yeah, I wouldn't have the health risk... Although it might work well.. Try using natural cleaning agents. I use lemon juice and salt, it works wonders for breaking down smoke gunk, and the salt absorbs it and drags it out of the pipe.

Boiling water for bowls, let them soak in a tube over night after a good boiling bath. After an hour or two toss in some vinegar and lemon juice and backing soda. 12 hour over night sit and a simple green non scratch scruber takes it all off.

I actually only take my bowls out of the water when I am ready to use them. Besides the small non-coated area above the rim, they look very clean and smell like nothing.

Methanol + a match.
Just kidding.
I wouldn't use it because just because something is natural doesn't mean it can't harm/kill you.

I think avoiding chemicals is a good idea.
Never used any chems in my hookahs over the years and I have never had issues with cleaning out after the most filthiest sessions.

Like most people are saying lemon juice, backingsoda, vinegar, beer and things like this work grrrreat
