It really up to you the key is the initial smell. lot of times when you get a pack of tangiers you will either smell a distinct barbecue sauce or even a soy sauce odor. You acclimate as long as it takes for those smells to subside and for you shisha to smell like the flavor you bought. With that being said it usually takes me between 2-6 hours

eric has said that it can take up to 24 hours i think. honestly usually my tangiers comes pretty close and just needs a little bit if any, i have noticed some times after it has sit in the ziplock container it gets better (i think because it is not totally air tight so it slowly keeps up with the RH)

i have had little luck with stuff that needed a lot of acclimation usually it just didnt work well for me

For me, some flavors took only a few hours... While others NEVER acclimated.. Just base it off the smell. Unless your ready to smoke some zesty BBQ sauce, or some salty SOY suace leave it to acclimate longer.

when you acclimate it, the shisha adjusts to the atmosphere. It was made in San Diego and then packed really densly. So acclimating it should let it breath more. Some tangiers are made a little more wet than others so they might need more acclimation.

Make sure you spread it out as thin as possible i use a sheet of foil. Then every few hours mix it around so the bottom gets some air to that should fix the smell. TANGIERS is worth the trouble

I did the same thing.. Left the house for the weekend and my room reeked of soy sauce.

Im trying to the current method of airing it out for a few hours then putting the lid on, then repeat.

Lets see.

see i have yet to see a scientific explanation as to how RH interacts with it seeing as it is dripping wet. dont get me wrong when it smokes well i can get into tangiers and some of their flavors are the best versions of said flavor but i am starting to wonder a lot about the product
