exoticas tend to burn faster and produce more ash. But they are good coals. Are they natural wood coals I been wondering

I have been tempted to try out Exotica for a long time. For a while they were the coal to use on the forums and there are many people who are still big fans. I have always been a proponent of coconut coals without trying out the other side.

I need to make a coal order some time soon and it's going to be Exotica.

i use exoticas. I have the prescored box and I really like them. They last a long time and give good heat. They have very little odor when lighting and no taste when smoking. I like them as much as my coconaras.

I havent used exoticas in a long time. I bought a box from a shop up here, and liked them at first. After awhile, I hated them... and I still have them. Haha.

I want to try the new formula though.

That exotica's are great, the price is great, they last, and burn well. That and they are the only coal I like to use? Yeah. That about sums it up.
No smells, no tastes, and they always last me half a bowl (which is about 40- 50 minutes.) The coco's I tried shattered into a million pieces when they got small (HATE COCONUT COALS) , ashed like hell, and I'll never use them again if I can help it. I sure won't pay for them again.

I've only used Golden and CH QL's, and must admit I do love them, but it makes me wonder how much more enjoyment I would have with nats. The Exotica's do sound good...

Oh come one KK. I love coconut coals. Maybe the ones you got were affected by moisture or something :P but seriously, everyone has their preferences and everyone has different experiences. Some people love Japanese style coals and personally I can't stand the damn things. A lot of it comes down to personal opinion and various environmental factors.

I admit that I am a huge fan of coconut coals but I do admit that they ash like nothing else. CH coals make a very sandy ash and Coconara make a very fine ash that is not quite as light as natural lump charcoal.

As stated earlier I am making my next coal order entirely exotica to be able to make a full comparison having used all style of charcoal at that point.

In another post I saw that you were from Houston. Go to Phoenicia's and pick up some Starlight Nats. They are $3.50 for a box of 72. For the price of 1 box of 108 Coco's you can get 360 coals. Worth a shot since they are so cheap. I actually like them and will be going back to get more.

Exoticas IMO have always been better than CH or CN. Coco = Caca

Exotica's are awesome. Best value for money coals out there IMO. Only thing I don't like is having to score them and break them into pieces because it gets a bit tiresome.

You have 4 MODs saying they really like the Exoticas! Do you see any advertisement for Exoticas here?? :: Looking Around :: NO .. Absofriggenlutely NOT!

For the record ... This is an HONEST and UNBIASED community. We have a 0 tolerance for either falsified paid promotion or free product in exchange for falsified promotion. We like our integrity intact That's how we roll ..

I've said it before .. I'll say it again. MY two coals of choice are #1 Coconaras and #2 Exoticas. Both coals last a LONG time, longer than ANY other natural coal I have used. They also have VERY minimal smell when lighting on my stove with the fan off. AND they don't affect the taste of the hookah tobacco while smoking. Ohhh and they both ash really nicely.

So to answer your question? I am sorry, I know some of you swear by ******* Hookah Coals .. but the Coconara and Exoticas are far superior! That is just my opinion though .. heck what do I know? I've only tried about 40+ different coals during my lifetime as a hookah hobbyist

I keep Coconara and Exoticas on my refrigerator, next to my stove. Both of them get two thumbs up!

.. and YES I love Vortex bowls too. The combination with either of these coals is the perfect hookah setup for me (hence why I keep them on hand for my coals of choice)

exoticas are now my go to coal. I used CH nats for a bit and coco's, but the local minimart sells 1k boxes of exoticas for 5 bucks. if you can handle and control the ash right, theyre probably one of the most rewarding coals on the market. Yea theyre a bit temperamental to get used to from CH nats and cocos's but theyre solid coals for sure

what makes you say this..
Gabe... And the various pieces of garbage found in Exotica coals.

Exotica coals used to be the most hated thing in the hookah world on this forum and the other one, then all of a sudden Gabe "changed" his "formula" again and the Exotica problem died down. Then, all of a sudden, people had a hard-on for these coals out of nowhere - when in reality, they are still the same they were a year ago.
