Default does it truly matter

well do you really need to use "hookah foil" or will just standard kitchenfoil (shinny side down) do, cause i think that well for one it would be hella cheaper for me just to buy a roll of kitchenfoil and cut out the 4x4 squares, and get way more then to spend the 5 bucks for 50

foil is foil, never heard of hookah foil, if your talking about the pre cut squares then they usually tend to be quite thin. The main thing is to get foil thats thick and yeah shiny side down.

Just grab a roll of Renyolds HD foil.

Shiny side down doesnt really matter. Some people will say it helps keep heat, but I honestly haven't been able to tell the difference in the 5 years I have been packing bowls.

I've NEVER payed attention to what side of the foil goes where..
I just rip off a sheet, tear it in half and have one for the bowl I'm smoking and one for the next bowl.

I've used both single sheet regular foil and HD foil and they both work fine with me. The HD stuff tears less when wrapping the bowls, at least for me and my big old fat clumsy paws.

This, only I do like 10 at a time. Also if shiny side down keeps in heat wouldn't it cook tobacco faster, shortening the session? Lol, I dunno. I don't pay much attention to which side goes down.

Personally I can get three bowls out of a single tear from the roll.

Just to say it too many times, normal foil works beautifully. HD foil is just about all I use now.

Just be damn sure you get the regular stuff and not anti stick coated. I about fucking died smoking a bowl of Mizo Peach with HD nonstick foil. It emitted some nasty metallic tasting shit I would not wish upon my worse hookah smoking enemy. Ghost my setup for about 3 sessions even after I cleaned it religiously.

I use plain ol' cheap sh*t regular foil. I paid $7 for a 200 ft roll. HD foil is overkill.
And depending on whay you're smoking, even the foil isn't necessary. Just think: did smokers use aluminum foil 100-200 years ago?

"non-stick" has a coating that burns off when you smoke it. Just be careful when purchasing that you do not get that version.

Your worst hookah smoking enemy? lol what? But yeah the HD foil like never rips so it is easier to get the tight like a drum effect on top.
