Default New help Tangiers Smokers. Lucid smelling like BBQ sauce but acclimating

Hey HP this is my first thread and Im calling upon your help
After seeing countless reviews of awesome sessions of Tangiers Lucid Orange Soda I ordered some and got it.
Well I heard that Lucid is ready to go and some say its not. Well for me, I dont think mines ready to go whatsoever.
Smells like BBQ sauce and hints of orange soda
Anyone else ever had to acclimate their lucid and if so, how long?
Right now Im pretty sad

You shouldn't have to acclimate it too long as the nicotine content in lucid is no where near what it is in Noir. Just let it breathe and stir it up every now and then until you get the orange soda smell and you're good to go. =)

You arent suppose to have to acclimate the Lucid line at all, only the Noir Line.

Process of adjusting the shisha to your local climate so it doesnt smell/taste like Soy Sauce when you smoke it.

Skeetsak - did you mix it really really really well after letting it sit that long?

when im acclimating, i just try to get what was on the bottom on top. with tangiers, you'll notice the glycerin and stuff goes to the bottom so you just have to stir it around a little bit.

It happens with tangiers. That's the one downside.

Ive notice with Tangiers that even after acclimating it it can still sometimes smell like BBQ sauce and whatever the flavor of the tobacco is at the same time. I usually only acclimate it for 3-4 hours and stir it every half hour. There may be a hint of BBQ smell when im done but when i smoke it all i taste is the flavor of the tobacco. You really have to just experiment on your own.

Welcome to the inconsistancy that is called tangiers. You will need to acclimate it for about 4 to 6 hours Normally the Noir line could take about a day or longer.

The Lucid line shouldnt need acclimating. Well, its not supposed to, but with Tangiers you never know what you are getting. Good Luck though.

It's neither producer error nor consumer error. It's just tobacco, and that's what it does. Af Soft Black, Salloum Plain, and Desi Murli all can smell just like it.
