Default Vegetable Glycerine...kills the flavour?

i add vegetable glycerine to dry tobacco like desi murli so that it can produce a little more smoke.....recently i've been using vegetable glycerine on some of my old stash of nakhla....but i've noticed that if i use a little too much glycerine i can't taste much of the flavour....just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? can i not taste the flavour because of too much glycerine? or is somthing else to blame?

Glycerin itself doesn't add any flavor but instead adds more water content to the tobacco. If the your old Nakhla is dried out, then the glycerin will simply add some moisture back to the tobacco but not the flavor. As Mr.B said adding more glycerin without the flavoring means you'll be smoking glycerin.

Try adding glycerine and light molasses or honey, This will help add flavor back. Just be careful if you use honey because it can become hard as a hock and difficult to clean.

Make sure to let it sit for a bit with the glycerin, so it mixes well.
