Question Coconara burning throat

Hello guys, this is my first post regarding coconara coals.I've searched every site available before ordering them and i haven't found any posts with negative opinion about the coals.I have an issue and i would appreciate your help i ordered a 16 piece box to try it and also i bought a hydro herbal shisha as well. After blowing some smoke my throat was burning really bad and not like it was when i started smoking hookah for the first time so i changed the shisha with regural one and still my throat was burning i couldn't enjoy smoking it at all.My hookah was freshly cleaned with b.soda and lemon juice and the other day i smoked with quick lit coal without having any problems..What's do you think goes wrong?Thanx in Advance

Just a few questions on the details,
what kind of Shisha?
How may coals?
Were they lit all of the way(how long did they sit on the burner)?
How did you pack your bowl and what kind of bowl did you use?

Hydro Herbal Shisha? .. could be the culprit?

To much packed? Coal not fully lit?

I think that it was lit enough for smoking,it could be the way i packed the shisha but the next day i packed it the same way with the quick lits and i had no problems

Is the coal lit entirely through?
Like red hot in the center?

That is really bizarre, i have never had a problem with a coconara and i use them almost exclusively unless i am given another freebee. This could be an issue with you overpacking your shisha and it burning from the coal.

The color is volcano hot red from all sides when i put it on the foil,so you suggest adding packing it with less shisha when using the coconaras?

Three things come to mind:
1. Coal was not properly lit.
2. Shisha was bad, over packed, burning
3. Foil had some kind of coating on it.

Coconaras have been THE best coal I've used hands down, I find it hard to blame the coal.

Cococaras burn a little hotter than quicklights. Try packing a little lower than the rim and make sure when you place the coals on to start on the edges of the bowl.

Are you allergic to coconut?

Another thought: I've had a box of "dud" coconaras once. They were somewhat uncomfortable to smoke... Kept going out too. It's possible you maybe came across a bad batch?

Coals: Completely ashed on all sides. You should see no "Black" as if the coal has not been lit.

Bowl: Packed 1/8 of an inch below the rim of the bowl. Ensure from the side view of the bowl that no tobacco is poking up above the rim.

Tobacco: Not a herbal fan, try a standard tobacco like AF or Nakhla.

Foil: Ensure you are using foil that does not say "Non-Stick" coating on the package. Standard Reynolds (or generic equivalent), 2 sheets should be fine.

Heat Management: Based on your bowl size ensure you are not burning the tobacco and only baking it. Rotate your coals, take one off, try a wind cover, etc. until you learn how to maintain the right amount of heat to keep the tobacco from burning.

Are you getting sick? Have strep throat? Or any other medical ailment that would be an under lying cause?

I have switched from Choronic Hookah to CoConaras and have had no issues with them.
