Default Syrupy Shisha

My shisha has seemed to be a little "syrupy" lately, leaving a syrup like residue under the bowl and sometimes leaking through the box, is there a way to avoid this. Putting in the fridge maybe?

I transfer all of my tobacco to plastic containers for storage. Most people don't refrigerate, but some do. As for leaking out the bottom of the bowl, I assume you are using a standard Egyptian clay bowl or similar; there is no way to stop it. This is the main reason for a phunnel, vortex or Crown bowl. They keep juices from running down the stem and keep them in the bowl.

Dee pretty much covered it. You could also try mixing the shisha better before you pack to distribute your juices better.

^This! I have about a 1/4 kilo of SB Tangerine Dream left that a friend had and he neglected to stir it and there is about 1/4 of the tobacco that you'd find in a kilo and half the juice. Need to stir your shisha before packing.

if you do neglect to stir... is there a good way to come back from that, aside from just getting new shisha? i have a new 250g of AF that's way too soupy. i tried taking the amount i would use to pack a bowl, wrapping that in a paper towel and squeeze drying it, but it didn't really come out to my liking. next i was going to try either:
(A) leave the lid off the tub for a while and stir every 6-12 hours to see if i could evaporate some of the moisture or
(B) remove the shisha from the tub, and make a sort of colander of foil to put at the bottom of the tub, put the shisha back in there and let it drain with the top sealed so i could save the excess liquid and add some back if necessary

thoughts? other suggestions?

I would say the way to go is buy a vortex bowl. Works great for me and keeps flavor for the entire smoking session. Also, as said above, try to mix up the shisha before packing the bowl

Dee Really much summed it up for you..

Try smoking a dryer brand, or getting a phunnel, vortex, or Crown
