Default New package and funnel

Hey guys, I just got my order, 6x250 al fakher tobacco and a medium funnel bowl!
I just smoked my first bowl but I'm not getting enough smoke, I'm new to the funnel...
What am I doing wrong?
Foil is not being pulled down, I don't pat tobacco, maybe I don't put enough tobacco... I'm using 3 coconaras!

And what good af blends can u make from:
orange
mint
vanilla
capucinno
lemon
strawberry

thx

Thx alot!

try starting with three to get the tobacco warm and then remove a coal, sometimes less is more and this has worked for me in the past. Also what does you hole pattern look like?

I can't help you with the funnel, however, decent mixes from what you got are.... anything but lemon with the vanilla. 40 orange 40 lemon 20 mint. 50 lemon 50 strawberry. 10 orange 10 mint, 80 cappu.

Never had a funnel bowl, i use a vortex. But i'm pretty pro [i think] when it comes to mixes.

I use four coconut coals on a small funnel. It sounds like you need more heat or a wind cover. I have never used a medium but they are pretty huge.

Pack the tobacco loosely to the very top of the bowl, then tap it lightly(really lightly) until it's just under the top.
3 rows of holes with a toothpic. Medium phunnels are huge so start it with four coals and the very moment it gets harsh pull a coal off rotae the other 3 purge the hookah.

Mix mint with orange
mint w/ lemon
mint w/ strawberry

in every case 20% mint

and you can mix cappucino w/ vanilla cap being 75%

I use a medium tangiers all the time, i usually only need 2 coconaras to get it going, however it does need to warm up for 5 to 10 minutes before the smoke starts to really fill out.

Try poking the holes as close to the outer rim as possible. That way, all of the hot air is forced across the shisha, resulting in more smoke and an equal cooking of the tobacco. Whether you choose to make smaller or larger holes is up to you.

As others have said, let the bowl warm up. The phunnel is not your typical ceramic bowl. It's made of a thick, special compound that absorbs a lot of heat and distributes it uniformly. Due to its peculiar nature, it usually takes a little bit more time to heat up the contents of the bowl compared to, let's say, a vortex, which is made of thin ceramic.

Once you start using a windcover to manage your heat, you never look back. It's a great thing to have in your hookah arsenal.

That's kinda crazy. Even the old CCNs last longer than 40 minutes. Some people have gotten over 1h15 of useful life out of the new cubes. Is there a lot of air circulating in the room where you are smoking? Like open windows and fans? Than can really kill your coals quickly. The coals will also burn out faster if they're not fully lit, which means the core has to be lit as well. I assume that your coals were properly lit, though.

A windcover definitely helps with keeping your coals alive.

Exotica coals are great as well, but if you're sensitive to carbon monoxide, they might give you a slight headache or set off your CO detector.

No holes over the middle! Windcover? Just got one, and man, you don't realize how nice they are till you have one and use it!

Yes, window was open, kinda windy, no windcover... Might be the problem, my windcover is too small for medium funnel xD

Short and sweet. Medium Phunnel requires 4 coco's when packing af in a phunnel bowl I like to use a med pack, good way to gauge this would be to fill it up with AF to the tippy top and then use whatever tool you would like to get the shisha 1/8 of an inch from the rim, foil, heat enjoy rinse and repeat if necessary. Make holes all the way to bottom of bowl
