Default Heat Management

I read alot about heat management on here, and I'm not sure if I'm placing my coal properly. I am currently using Three Kings large coals and placing them over the center of the bowl, should I be doing something different? Is there a better coal to be using?

CocoNara, ShishaCo, Starlight Nats and Exoticas are coals I recommend. They are all nats and much better than QLs. When I use QLs, depending on the size of the bowl, I may place one in the middle of the bowl. Usually I avoid QLs like the plaque.

When I used QL's, I usually place them in the center but move them on the edge after the smoke starts to build up to keep the tobacco from burning too fast. Natural coals are the best way to go. Natural coals coast a little bit more, but they are a huge difference in your sessions.

three kings is an okay coal there are better but there are much worse.
and heat management is about getting the right mix of just enough heat to get the tobacco to smoke but not enough to burn, i bet when you clean you bowl you still have wet shisha on the edges, (maybe)
but next time start the coals on the out side rime and rotate then inward to the center as the session goes on

heat management is also about naturals and wind screens but those are the basics on quick lights

I haven't really noticed wet shisha around the outside, but I almost always still have wet shisha at the bottom of the bowl, could using natural coals and rotating them properly help eliminate that?

if you want to use quicklights check out CH brand quicklights, theyre the best ones you can use.

dont place your coals in the middle, keep them on the outer edge

Are you using the small (33mm) or the large (40mm) 3 kings? If you are using the smalls and have anything but a tiny bowl you could possibly bump up to two once the first coal dies down. If you are using the large I suggest splitting them in half and using the halves on the edge of the bowl.

I would say ditch the QLs and go for nats. Sometimes theyre alot cheaper and work much better. I use two exoticas on the edges of the bowl

When I first started smoking I'd put my coals in the middle I started noticing that the sheesha would burn a lot faster than usual. So a few people told me to put them in the corners. So, Ive been doing that for a while now and I like it. what i noticed is that it doesn't burn the whole sheesha all at once it kinda splits in half and so its a longer session. You just have to move the coal around the bowl when itsa lil harsh...

Just bought some CocoNara coals, we'll see how they work when they come in. Is it better to light these with a butane lighter, or on an electric stove?
