Default Coconara new shape

does anyone know why they changed the shape to a cube? I am curious.

Which do you like better?

I am a big fan of the cube, they are much more uniform and it makes heat management even easier.

I noticed this too in my last batch.

They still had problems with turning black, and not lighting 100%.
As far as duration, it seemed like they lasted around the same time.

MAYBE 10-20 mins longer..

It makes them last longer because the heat distribution is more uniform. Or something.

They were the best coals before the change and now they're even better.

I do like the new ones better, but i find that they are more prone to rolling and falling on my carpet and burning it, cuz thats exactly wat it did lol. There goes my security deposit

I do like the new coconara because they do seem to last longer, however I liked the regular shape better because I like to use 3 coconaras turned on the side on the edge of the bowl because it evenly distributes the heat around the bowl giving huge clouds with out burning which is my best way to smoke a phunnel. Now i have to cut them into 1/4 in order to get the same shape which is alot more work, now I mostly use AF naturals on my phunnel.. if anyone has any suggestions please let us know!

Wait, what did the old ones look like? I've been buying Coconaras for 2 months and they've always been cubes.

It's way harder to light them, that's the only problem I noticed

i think they light faster. The trick i use is to put the edge of the coal in between the burner coil instead of flat on top. Then flip when they are halfway red
