Default Anyone heard of the hookah brand "el asmar" ?

I'm in the market for a new hookah, and found this online store not too far from me where they sell a bunch of no-name brand hookahs.
But they also have a category for "authentic waterpipes"

http://www.waterpijp-online.nl/winke...ke-waterpijpen

All these hookahs are of the brand "el asmar" which is supposed to be handmade in CaÔro

Prizes seem really really reasonable and i've always wanted a much bigger one for home use (kinda intrigued by the "bouri" one), But i'm curious if anyone ever heard of these things

Never heard of it but the site is good. Ordered there once no issues.

Are you from the Netherlands? If so I can maybe help you get a nicer hookah, for example a khalil mamoon.

I think i'm going with this one

http://www.waterpijp-online.nl/winke...jp-luxor-blauw
Big, love the looks,2 hoses since i rarely smoke alone, and in my price range

Then going to orde a vortex and a nammor from another website and a lot of nakhla mizo.
Since i can't hold either of the items beforehand does it look like the nammor will fit this ?

Maybe it's just me, but most of them look like rebranded MZ's.

Sorry to bring this up again but when i figured out what MZ stood for i looked at their website, and you're absolutely right.
Seeing That el asmar is also supposed to be from Cairo it could very well just be that.
Just don't really see the point of rebranding

As for the "bouri" one (which is way to expensive on your website!!!), I bought a somewhat similar one, years ago from an Egyptian wholesaler in Madrid. It is all metal, and I have seen in books that pipes similar to mine (in brass color, or, as mine and as the "bouri" of your website, nickel plated and thus silver colored) are, or were, extensively used by locals in markets around El Cairo, particularly in the Inbaba Camel Market . I keep mine as a nice, and somewhat strange, addition to my collection, but mark that I SOON STOPED SMOKING IT BECAUSE IT STARTED RUSTING VERY EARLY, AND THUS, TASTING BAD. the main inside tube in mine is not copper.

here is a picture (I took 5 mn ago) of my Egyptian Boury waterpipe (not rotating). very simple stuff, very solid, but not very good because it rusts quickly, used in El Cairo (Imbaba Camel Market).
I will make some better ones later on (my camera just ran out of battery)
