Default Tongue burning

So im smoking the last of the 50g sample of Romman Peach that I got.
Its a subtle peach that tastes fairly accurate, not bad at all.
It tates fine but i get a little bit of a burn sensation on my tongue, sort of like when you have something sour, it lasts for maybe 5 seconds and then the next pull of smoke makes the sensation come back for another 5 seconds. Anyone know if this is normal or have had this happen, this is the third and final bowl of this flavor and the first time i had this sensation

I have no idea what that is. But, I know it's happened to me on a few occasions. Like a "warhead" candy kind of feeling? At first, I assumed it was too much heat, etc., etc., or perhaps I did something wrong in the set-up. But now I think it's just an unsolvable mystery, hah.

Could it possibly be interacting w/something you recently ate or drank? I've noticed sometimes spicey or otherwise strong flavored foods can make the tongue abit sensitive. Other than that Idk.

That's kind of weird, but I've noticed something similar anytime I have anything with peppers in it for whatever meal was prior to the session. The "sensitivity of the tongue" idea is probably accurate.

Thats happens to me a few times as well, particularly with ivory cost. I'm also in agreement with acidic/hot foods effect sensitivity of the tongue. Maybe have a glass of milk before smoking something strong.

I used to get the same sensation when I smoked cigarettes. Haven't had it with shisha. Maybe it has something to do with the nicotine?

It may be what us pipe smokers call tounge bite. When you smoke a tobacco with a high sugar or sodium content the smoke or vapor can deposit in the cracks of the tounge causing in essence a chemical burn. This happens normally with either improper smoking technique (I doubt this is the case with the nargile smoker) a tobacco with way to much sugar or salt/sodium content or the drinking of a carbinated beverag as this can cause tounge bite when smokig a pipe. There are of course other things that can cause this problem. I hope this helps (youtube has some members who can discuss this ailment 100 times better than I can) =]

Sounds pretty good. I think you described it really well.

HAHAHA. As men, we refer to it as a "courtesy sniff". Just take you a smell...lol. If you courtesy sniff something, then that person owes you one as well. Always fun. haha
