Default "Stem brush" from home depot

Was at home depot today and came by a dryer vent brush (in the heating/plumbing section), looked like it would make a nice stem cleaner (at least for wider gauge egyptians, not modern) so I picked it up, tried it out and it is, a tighter fit than your normal stem brush, but it did it's job, cleaned my km and generic in the process . Feels more solid than a regular brush.

Anyways the brush is 24" and I paid around 5 bucks for it with tax, this is how it looks like (made by Deflect-o, part # dvbrush/6):

Nice find! I hate the crappy stem brushes they send you. I have gone through 2 of them now and need another. May have to try and find this brush.

happily the stem brush I have is a great brush and does the job nicely. This is a great suggestion and I am always happy to see people thinking outside the box and saving themselves money while often getting a better product.

The brush I got with my Black Rock is a nice brush but the wire structure is a bit flimsy. Something like what you've found here would probably be a bit of an improvement. I will have to look for one at our local hardware store. I'm sure that they must have something like that there. Smoke happy.

Interesting find! I have no idea if it wll work since the taper seems not to practical but it's definately worth looking out for.

I've had great luck with the brushes i've found in this thread: http://www.hookahpro.com/forum/showt...hlight=brushes

That looks like it would work great for wider hookahs and it starts of small so it wouldn't be as hard to fit, I just tryed cleaning my new KM (thanx to Hookahstore.com) and the brush I got with one of my other hookahs started coming apart. 5 bux seems like a good investment if it doesn't wear out..
