Default Oyster fork?!

Why do people use it... What's the purpose of it? Don't you over pack or squish the tobaacco too tight? Do you use it for funnel bowls?

From what I read people use it when using Tangier's brand Shisha.... So that means with a Funnel Bowl.

They use to poke holes in the foil plus pack...

I use for every shisha that i pack, i like it simply because its small and fits in all of my bowls, i like a denser pack most of the time so for a vortex i use it to pull the shisha down the spire and reveal the holes, for a funnel i use it more a a guide then anything i like to fille it up the bow towards the rim about the with the of the fork 1/8th inch or so the thing is very handy and for like 3 bux why not

Its just another useless tool that someone has marketed to be able to get more of your money. You can pack a funnel bowl with your fingers and lightly compress the tobacco. Useless crap that was marketed to make a buck off you guys.

No no no, what they are leaving out is that oyster forks are made with a special metal composite, and it helps with the acclimation process of tangiers tobacco, smoked in a special glazed tangiers bowl and if you don't make special tangiers holes in your foil then you wont get anything other the bbq sauce. It is super important you follow every step in the marketing campaign or you will not get your tangiers to smoke right.

I'm not sure if you really need it or not. I smoke tangiers sometimes and i just use my hands to pack the bowl. Theres a video on youtube of eric from tangiers using the fork so i supposed you should use it but who knows.

Just a fork like any other. I got one recently because it was left behind after a business convention I was working. I prefer a normal fork for all tobacco and punch holes with a push pin.

It was touted as the perfect tool for Tangiers but it makes no difference and is not special in any way.

Come on Aribers, your biting my style. Usually I'm the one making snarky, overly scientific sounding posts to mock things. :P Lol. Good post.

I've seen an oyster fork used, but I personally use a regular kitchen fork used for eating. << + thumbtack = awesome sessions lol

I'd rather smoke shisha than get scientific about using special forks to pack bowls, I thought it was the end result we ultimately paid for not some hipster packing technique. Stay with hand packing it shows you really know how to smoke hookah and don't need a crutch to smoke it "right"

QFT. Finger packing is the way to go. My friends always want to use tongs when they pack a bowl.. but i don't let them do that with my tongs. One.. the shisha slow get stuck to the tongs... and like Gadfly said.. its just a crutch. My friends get mad "cause there fingers get sticky".. like a sink is hard to find to wash your hands off! And nice one Ariberns.. sacrasm usually gets lost in translation on the internet.

I use my oyster forks with desi murli, now what?

I use them so I don't have to wipe/wash my hands when dealing with my tobacco.
I also got my forks free from work.

I think I'll just stick to using my fingers and a safety pin.
