Default Overpacking AF

Anyone got a guide or some tips on overpacking AF, and what bowls it works the best with?

Overpacking Al Fakher works the same way as overpacking Nakhla. As far as bowls go, I like overpacking it in my vortex.

What are some of the benefit of overpacking AF? I think the hookah lounge I visit on a regular basis overpacks their AF. I saw the server walking around with a bowl full of shisha once. The shisha is like way above the rim of the bowl.

Generally with overpacking you'll get an intensity in flavor, longer sessions and more smoke.

How exactly do you overpack a vortex?

Hmmm, I find I get best results with a tight pack on af, but not an overpack, and a double foil, this is the only tobacco I double foil ever

for ease of pack, a phunnel or vortex, if you use a standard bowl you have to push a skewer or the pin from your tongs through the holes or you wont be able to get a good pull

i think i do something similar to what ari is saying (unless what you are saying is that you push it down a little denser than normal before the foil goes on). i pack fluffy, but about 0.25" - 0.375" (that seems really specific, but this is an eyeball measure, and decimals write out better in plain text) above the bowl and then let the foil push it down. i'm doing this with a standard egyptian bowl without any airflow problems. [after writing it all out, it seems we are, in fact, not doing the same thing...]

i still haven't tried Dee's method where he super overpacks (like 1" over the rim) and then reams out airflow holes. looks interesting, but i don't think i'd try it with AF. really want to try it on my Nak Shes. Margarita.

for me, AF is too heat sensitive to overpack, that is just me, i don't know about everyone else but I can't get AF to smoke without harsh smoke all the time when normally packed, let alone overpacked

The reason why we overpack is because it's so heat sensitive.

i find with af the best is to go to the top and then push it down just below the rim and make sure the foil is nice and tight so that it dosent touch the foil because af is very heat sensitive but make sure to use something long to put holes through the tobacco for good draw but it smokes good this way.

Double packing AF should be putting it in one trash bag, then packing it in another to get rid of that Shit.

Can you overpack in a mod bowl? Because I know that it doesn't really matter if you are using something like a phunnel or a Vortex because you won't have a grip of juices running all over the place.
