Default tipping hookah

Hello members!
So i have a hookah that is really tall(48 in) and is prone to tipping if not on a hard surface. I wanted to be able to smoke it in my room but im afraid of it tipping since the floor is carpet. Is there any way to make the hookah more stable

What kind of Base you got? You might wanna try out one Sahara Smokes Bases they seem to me to be one of the more stable bases out there or maybe look into one of those KM Jumbo Vases.

Something like These....
http://saharasmoke.com/store/catalog...e-p-16438.html
http://www.nazarhookah.com/khalil-ma...kamanja-hookah (Might have to contact them and see they can separate the base for ya) Or search around and see if ya can find another vendor if not.

Heres a Youtube video Photolinger did for Sahara smoke vases.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adMVie6BtFA

Homemade fix just off the top of my head.... put your hookah in a milkcrate or fabricate some kinda of prop to hold it up.

i already have a large km base, but still wobbles. Not only that but the stem wobbles on the base even though its in there pretty tight, so tight it takes about 3 min to remove the stem

You just said prone to tipping in your first post... Do you actually tip it alot?

Mine Wobble a bit and I constantly have a ton of drunks in my house on weekends so Ive been worried. But I recently moved a rug around where I usually smoke... I would think would give me to time react before it burns through to the real carpet.

I heard of people using wool rugs which are suppose to be more burn resistant or maybe you could spray a rug down with something like this.
http://www.amazon.com/No-Burn-Fabric.../dp/B002TKLD14

I suggest a rug no matter what you do... Last night I had a friend give me daps over the table I use, but drunk as he was he just about fell into the table. Not good for him but also not good my carpet, but my rug would have saved it.

One last suggestion from me....

You thought about this being a good excuse to buy another hookah? One for Outside for inside sounds like a great excuse to spend some money.

The best way to combat tipping is to get a medium hookah with a Sahara Smoke base. Tall hookahs are very much prone to tipping and its gonna happen eventually.

You just need a firm, flat surface to set the base on. Plywood works good for a start. Maybe a clear floor mat they sell at Office Max to put under your desk......
The possibilities are endless.

You could always put a large dinner plate under the base while smoking.

Then get a smaller piece just a little bigger than your base.

Get a sahara dish (nazar has some on sale for around $30), I've had a 48" generic egyptian sitting on it at one point and it wasn't going anywhere, the base becomes really heavy with around 9-10 cups of water, my bell used to tip all the time (have some couch burns to prove it ), had to be uber careful with it.

My buddy found an old end table with 2 shelves. He cut a hole in the top one that the stem fit through, and set the base on the bottom shelf. This works great. Go to the Salvation Army or any thrift store and find an old end table.

I am bored so I made a crude drawing showing what I mean.

Good picture! That definitely seems like a smart thing to do.

that would work, but i dont think i can find a 4 ft tall end table. Is there any way to keep coals from flying off the bowl when its tipped besides a windcover
