The thing is lots of generics have them too...
maybe the generics are trying to get in on that brand identity but i don't really think that for brand identity they would worry about the downstem

I had it on my QT two hose and my friends were confused/unsure if they were actually still drawing. Kind of an eerie feeling.

Still, useful when you want to go stealth.

you could use the zombie blood instead of water. could add an interesting flavor....

I am just trying to think a bit more abstract here. Maybe the reason for making a bulge of some sort at the end of the pipe is to allow for upside down hanging? It also forces the smoke to be in contact with the water that much longer, but that length is negligible.

But I agree, it's probably mostly a visual thing. I mean if every single thing had a function and that's it, our hookahs would be 1 color, a single pipe running down with no chamber looking things, straight hose connector etc. I have a feeling they do it because is not that hard and it seems unbalanced to make an extremely ornate top part then leave the bottom as a straight pipe.

Do they have copyrights/licensing where they are made? If not then maybe the generics are trying to cash in on the shape. Unsuspecting consumers might think they're buying/smoking from a KM...such as in a bar....but really it cost a fraction of the price.

Send ANYTHING to China and they will be able to recreate it. They're like a xerox machine.

Just my thoughts...
