Default Liting Coco's on the stove

Hey guys, iv been using 3king ql's for a while now and wanted to see what all the buzz was about these natural coco coals. well i picked up a 16 pack to try out. well i have an electric flat top stove so i cant really lite them there and i have no stores near me that sells a single coil burner, even cvs said they dont have them in my area.

so i think it was MGHookah was liting them on his flat top in a frying pan.... would you think this is ok? he didnt seem to have a problem and was wondering if there was any other magic tricks someone might have.

Why can't you lite them on an electric stove? Ive done it. Is it harmful to the stove or something?

He's got a glass top stove. Horror stories of the glass cracking and such.

This. In addition to possibly destroying the glass surface, the coals will leave permanent, disgraceful marks.

Heating coals on glass top stoves can either crack the surface or leave marks.

If you can't find an electric burner, there's always this:

There's an amazing offer at coco-nara.us for HP members: 4 kilos of Coconara coals for $50 shipped. They usually throw in free coco tips as well.

If you happen to order from there, you could get your single coil burner at the same time and you'd have enough coals for a week or two.
