Default Very old/expensive hookah!

Check out this thing. According to the listing, it is over 200 years old! And damn pricey....

I think it'd make quite an interesting deco piece in the livingroom alongside the more modern hookahs, KM's, MZ's, and other hookahs included. Cleaned up carefully I'm sure it would look quite amazing. However, it'd be pretty important to be able to authenticate it's age and origination before spending that kind of cash on it. Smoke happy.

I think that's what it was made for in the first place. All the paintwork, expecially on the bowl and windcover, tells me this was for display only (most likely for the tourista trade) and was rarely, if ever, smoked from.

I like it, it's unique. I definitely wouldn't smoke from it but it would make a nice display piece. The mouth tip on that hose looks like its made from bone. It's something I'd want to see in person before buying though, and like someone said, have it verified to be authentic.

I think it looks really cool and would love to have it, but would never pay that much for it.

Looks old, but not that old. I'm guessing late 1800's. The styling looks distinctly Victorian to me, and hookah was popular in europe in that period. I'm guessing it was ottoman make, not Persian.

I think it looks like crap.. I personally like the more modern designs.. I wouldnt buy that thing if it were $50.. Looks like it wouldnt smoke well and would probably have a wierd taste every time you smoke.

The legs on the base definitely give it a Victorian style. The base almost looks like one of those coconut bases in the old ones.
