Default New Mouj Al Bahr Moassels

I've always liked Mouj Al Bahr brand which without a doubt has some the best the best washed/process style moassels out of the Arab world and their Haifa/blood Orange is something i've raved about before. Today I got to try out a Tamarind, Ras-el Hanout & Za'atar have all turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.

The Tamarind is very realistic and reminds me of Salloum in terms of cut and texture while the Ras-el Hanout tastes exactly like the name implies and and Za'atar is just like the spice mix with a bit of vanilla in the background.

Why this great brand isn't exported is beyond me.

Sounds great! I like Tamarind a lot. Za'atar sounds great as well.

Can one find any of these exotic Moessels you smoke via online store, Hajo? I'm intrigued, but a cursory search of Google produces no vendors.

Just makes me want to try them, Hajo. Maybe one day they'll cross the ocean and be available here. Maybe not . . . Smoke happy.

If my memory serves me correctly (and from time 2 time it does), I'm pretty sure Mouj al Bahr is produced in Tunisia.

I believe Hajo said in the chat that it was made in Iran. Probably means we won't see it in the western world anytime soon, which is a shame.

Honestly I am not sure where the brand is from. I've gotten in in several places and since I can't read Arabic i'm at a loss when it comes to know it's origin. Anyway, this one of those brands that would be a huge hit in the states if it was around. Normally I don't like processed moassels at all but a few brand like Mouj Al Bahr, Salloum and Oriental (the Indian brand) are simply fantastic and in a different league then boring, mod crap from the Persian Gulf, the U.S. or Europa.
