Default Exotica Coals Shortage due to new container

Hey everyone, I just want to let everyone know that the newest and improved batch of Exoticas are almost here. Exotic Imports has about 20 cases of coals left. We get our shipment on the 3rd of March so meaning that there will be a shortage of Exotica Coals for a few days but this will prove that there are no more bad batches as there is no more coals in our warehouse other than the bad ones we have stored up at a warehouse off site and awaiting for trial with the shipping company to resolve the matter and get reimbursed by them for the leakage and issues. Our Japanese coals as well as out quicklites are almost complete as well as our tobacco and we will keep you all posted with updates as soon as we have exact release dates. Thank you to all

GABRIEL

More bad news. They are delayed for a week more due to the bad weather in Asia. I will keep everyone posted. THANKS

I'm not really sure why they put the silver stuff on the coals. It may be so you don't get your hands dirty. I used a box of the Easy Lites awhile back, they are between QL's and naturals in lighting time. I didn't like that the coals with the silver stink as they burn that covering off.

Just out of interest... How come you don't get the coals flown in?

I assume that most major distrubtors would do this - I know I pay to get coals flown to me in the uk and the costs are not prohibtive.

Well, I would imagine, with the weight associated with coals, that the cost to fly them in as opposed to boat them in, would be far more expensive!? Therefore lowering your profits significantly. I can definitely understand the lower cost associated with boating, as opposed to the higher cost of flying products in. (importing)

Yeah a case of exoticas is pretty freaking heavy. I couldnt see flying in over 1000 cases, just couldnt happen unless you take a bath in money. Cargo ship is the most economical and is pretty standard with importing multiple items.

Yer, I guess Sam. Just wondered how other's import large volumes of coal. As I said it's not prohibitive to fly them from the us-> uk. And of course with commercial rates and volume discounts...

Plus given the problems of coals and moisture and sea-freight... Just interested if it's normal for importers to use seafreight as opposed to airfreight.

[not trying to start a row - just a genuine interest in how stuff gets here]

It's actually quite funny if you think about how much our stuff gets moved around the globe - Especially when you have english/european customers ordering from america!

Carbon footprint anyone!

Well first off, I hope that the shipment doesn't get delayed much longer, if it does you will not be able to ship any of them due to the impending hurricanes that will becoming across the atlantic and the nasty weather that insues.

JD- I think some do air, and others do sea, it's definitely more cost effective to ship on a boat 90% of the time, than by air. They did away with shipping by boat (surface) to the uk out of the USPS line up for shipping. I can no longer use surface to ship heavier packages and save on postage because it took 3-9 weeks to get to it's destination.

The cheapest way to ship them would be smuggling!

Actually that would cost more. You have to provide Payoff, Increased shipping, and payoff customs. They come from Asia area so there really is no point. lol
Man, hopefully this all cleared up and gets delivered in two weeks. I got a major order about to make. >.< Why now? lol
