Default Shisha smoke indoors

I was wondering about the amount of smoke that accumulates inside while smoking. We have never smoked anything indoors and I have a three year old son. I was concerned about how overbearing the smoke will be to shisha in my house and the amount of secondhand.

I used to smoke a pipe inside and after about twenty of thirty minutes it was really thick inside. Just curious.

thanks,
smokedsquid

Well as long as a window is open...It should be okay. Hookah smoke dissipates fairly quickly compared to pipe tobacco or cigarettes. But, I'd still recommend smoking outside cuz inside, you can smell it around the house and everything..and the smell will linger for a good hour or 2. One time, I had AW After 9 and it make my room smell like stale chocolate for 2 days! lol not fun so yeah you should just smoke outside because of the smell and for health reasons from second hand smoke

the smell wont really linger but because of your son I'd stay outside. i dont know if hookah smoke is as bad as other tobacco second hand wise but the coal does put out some CO.

Yeah, if your concerned about your son, outside would be best. Even when the coals are fully cooked there is still slight CO exposure, and the little guy is more acceptable to it because of his size. The smoke doesn't overcome the house to bad at all, I live in a small house and some times you can even notice we smoked. Smell lingers for a few hours, but thank God it doesn't stick.

If you are worried about your son, smoke on a lower floor or outside.

It's not worth risking it IMO..

I think I'll just hang out by the window with a fan like I did when I tried to get away with smoking in my mom's house.

shisha smoke is heavier than air. that's why you can blow it into an empty glass and it will stay. if you see it travel up, it's because of the wind currents in the room.

I was thinking about smoking after he's in bed. We keep his door pulled to when he's asleep. I think it should be ok then...what do you think?

Maybe a towel shoved under the door? Depending on how close his room is to where you are smoking..

blow any kind of smoke into any kind of hollow object and it will stay for a short time. smoke always rises. any smoke. thats why when there is a fire you get on the ground because the smoke rises.

yeah if you shut the door and crack a window and maybe a fan you could get away with it not affecting you child. but to be on the safe side i would go for the furthest possible room available or floor even

If you really care about your kid, smoke outside. If you're willing to take the risk, smoke, inside a room, close the door, and point a fan to blow out the smoke. Also, make sure when he's sleeping, have his door shut. that should be enough of a barrier to block smoke from entering his room

If I were you, Id play it safe and just smoke outside.

Even though you can smoke in a diff room with the door closed and everything, I still wouldn't risk it if there was a little kid in the house.

I think the extreme case would be not the gas mask. Just don't smoke for a few years until he is older. lol

I think you would be fine in another room, with the window cracked open. But that is just my opinion.

At least you are not in a car with the windows up chain smoking cigs and your kid in the backseat! I hate seeing people doing that ...
