Yep screens suck. I would rather not smoke than use one. I'd rather have the right equipment to ensure a great session than half ass it and end up with a sub par session.

Heck yea they really suck! I was considering using them when I didn't have any foil...but I'm like.. "Nah"

It cuz the holes are way to big and I kno the ash will fall into the tobacco and make the bowl taste like crap

Lol nah just stick to regular foil.

There are "hookah foils" but i've heard they are kind worthless since they function like reg. foil and sometimes...They don't even fit over some bowls.

Eck I still have a screen that came with my second hookah..But I have never used it and I plan on not to :P Hmmm maybe if I was really desperate...Ehh nahhh! haha

I just got a screen with my KM but haven't used it. The only way I would use it is if I had foil under it. But then it would still be pointless.

Glad to see others think screens suck too. I used one for about 10 minutes of 1 session and never again.

screens are for lazy people. I like setting up my hookah completely, and the screen ruins the part where you put the foil on, and poke holes. The screen also doesn't catch the ash, and is indented, so you will have to use less tobacco when smoking. just get yourself a lot nice foil, and you will be okay.

The combo bowl I'm assuming, I had one (hated it) but alot of people like it. It works better for alot of people if they just throw out the screen and use foil. The windcover part gets the coal hot quickly, and helps preserve extra heat when the coals are dying out

ill agree ive heard nothing but crap about the combo bowls, they rust really quickly, screens obviously, ect. the only good thing about it is the windcover, which im guessing helps with heat about the same if not better than standard covers because its closer to the coal, thus retaining more heat lol.

just use the good ol standard foil and you cant go wrong. theres only one reason i would use a screen, after i took a hammer to it to get rid of the indentation and on top of foil, so i could just dump the coal on the tray to ash it or to hold multiple lol

Eck I'll never buy those combo bowls...In includes the kind of bowl I friggen hate (the mod bowl, which is ceramic and gets wayyyy too hot easily) and it also includes screens and a windcover that looks like it would get hot way too easily

I've never used a screen, I don't see the point!?? The holes are just to big and burns the tobacco to much!

I smoked once with a screen. Some kid was using it with a hobo hookah and it actually worked really well. I think using less heat with it is the key. maybe?

I had a combo bowl too. Imho it worked horribly even without the screen, the windcover is too small, and it torched my shisha..

FOIL FTW!

The holes on the screens are way too big...might as well just set the coals on top of the shisha if you use them..foil rules!

I tried a screen with the SS hemi bowl during the promotion. I didn't expect much, and I was pleasantly surprised.

One of the tricks when packing with a screen is making sure no shisha touches it. I messed up my first bowl and kept burning the shisha.

On the next bowl, I only packed 10-15g and made sure nothing touched the screen. It was actually good smoke. Very easy to manage heat also, I didn't have to worry about moving the coals, I could easily turn the screen.

But yes, the downside I saw was that the screen wouldn't make an airtight seal with the bowl...
