I don't like how freakin hot t gets when you use it... but i think it is a pretty good little innovation. I don't hate it, but all that gunk collects on the bottom and ash falls through the holes so darn easy and in such large quantities. If they changed it up a bit i think it could be really useful.

We have been testing some new ones out the last few days.. So far I like the idea of it.. I never have to poke holes and buy foil again as far as I am concerned..

If they do work out, and you do start selling them.... (they should be included with the Jet Phunnel) .

that is what we are testing them on.. we might have to make them custom made with each bowl... but we are also working on different styles so they can fit other bowls as well....

I remember seeing these a year or so ago on a vendors webpage.I hadn't really heard much about 'em till the "Ramster" pulled one out yesterday. The concept is nice but what concerns me about the glass screen is the same issue I have w/the metal screens. Do they create a true seal around the bowl? Or do they just rest on top, allowing too much air in, making for a weaker smoke?

They dont seal the bowl completely but I havent been getting any weak smoke, I was getting pretty heavy clouds when I was smoking some starbuzz, They do take a min longer to get going just because the glass needs to heat up, but I am liking what Im seeing so far..

nice. However, is it possible for starbuzz NOT to produce huge clouds? From what I experienced last night, I could proly put a salad plate on my bowl an SB would still fog the room!! LOL

Wouldn't it be possible to make the screen like an oversized cap so it sealed all around by sitting on the rim?

You do need airflow in order to create suction and therefore smoke. So it can't be sealed. Unless it had holes in the middle...

Yeah but a hole in the middle for a phunnel would be pointless. Too much air.

i think its hard to cut holes in the glass w/out a lot of labor. i know mn hookah just made a glass screen for their jet phunnel (it has that little mod over the middle so that the air doesn't go right into the hole), however i'm partial to using tangiers phunnels.

i'm working on getting a clay screen made for my phunnels, if its ever done properly ill post pics

the idea of having a glass or clay screen is pretty nice, but that would be a big pain to get just right... plus you would need a lot of small hole rather than big ones so that you dont get the ashy burnt taste we all hate

the clay ones im trying to get made have a lot of holes in them, but it makes it extremely fragile while firing. im working on a few ideas right now so it wont break

not so. The glass screens I've seen, including the one ramsey showed me, had 1 hole in the middle and acording to him, they work ok.Considering most people that use funnels also use the mod, the hole sits over the mod, thus the continueity of the airlfow is blocked by the mod.

problem is for the people who smoke tangiers =/ no mod needed for that and a glass screen with 1 hole wont work for me. i really want one too =(
