Default Leaking Purge Valve

When I set up my 32" KM Hafa and do a tightness test...should I be getting air leaking into my hookah?

Just so you know, I'm sucking in..not blowing out. That is why I wanted to know if there should be air leaking. Thanks....still learning.

If the leak is very slight...then theres nothing worth worrying about. You need to identify where the leak is coming from on the valve. if it is through the orifice...then you might consider replacing the bearing for an airsoft BB or the orifice may need to me polished.

Or is it coming in through the soldered connection?

Thanks Lake! I thought about just going ahead and replacing the bearing and see what happens.

I replaced the bearings in mine with the airsoft BB a while back and it works great.

those plastic pellets are a way better replacement. the ball bearings rust no matter what due to the blowing off of smoke and its condensation in the purge valve.

Even if it is a leaking weld it can be easily fixed. I got a couple of leaks in my heart and I intend on fixing them with some JB cold weld. It works great, and is easy to find.

i can verify that JB weld works great. Used it on a small egyptian i had with a leak in the hose port. Also used one on a chinese hookah i bought years ago that fell apart after 2 uses (literally). we jb welded it together and jumped on the heart to see if it would fall apart and it didn't. its some miracle bonding agent lol
