Default Small hookah

im pretty new to hookah and i a really small travel size pipe (~13" tall) and i cant get any flavor out of it. im wondering if this has anything to do with its diminutive size? whats you're guys' experience with small hookahs? btw, im using this tobacco called Prince Molasses (watermelon) if that helps.

Smaller hookahs are know to have "less smooth" or "harsher" smoke due the the length of the stem and its proximity to the bowl it self. In other words it doesn't have as much time to cool the smoke before you pull it through the hose. But I don't think that it should be hindering your session TOO much, flavour wise. Then again I have never heard of "Prince Molasses" so I don't know if it is a crappy shisha or not.

small hookahs like that seem like a cool idea, but are more of a novelty, because of the reasons you described

If your sessions are not harsh or burning easy, you may have a dead batch. It might be that there is little to no flavor in the tobacco. It happens to all brands from time to time.

yeah i use two foils with a ring in between for a big air cushion because before it did get pretty harsh. so i guess its the tobacco then just glad its not the hookah (:

if you need a small hookah try to keep it at at least 18 inches. Mya has a lot og good ones and they break down into a travel case. this should work for you. they are very good quality for that size.

I bought a "genie" hookah. I must say, it makes an excellent smoke. I added a piece of plastic tubing on the stem, to give the bubbles longer "travel". The wide base makes it very secure. It is easy to clean and transport, an excellent choice. IMHO- A small hookah will smoke equivalent to a larger hookah, as long as you keep the vase water cold (crushed ice), and keep the coals down to just enought to get moderate smoke.

yeah smaller hookahs are not gonna give you really good smoke i have a small pumpkin and it smokes alright but never the quality of a larger hookah. It has alot to do with size as far as distance to end of hose from the bowl and how much water it actually goes through inorder to filter and cool the smoke. you could try ice in it but there probably isn't much room for that and unless you are very careful you could crack your base and then no more hookah. Also i have not heard of that brand of shisha so if its a bad brand then that could explain alot. I hope some of this helps you out.

I agree with John from CH. any pipe smaller than 18 will probably be a little harsh and unsmooth. The mya's are awesome because they break down for easy storage, and some are very portable
