Question Nakhla and unwashed tobacco

I'm unclear exactuly on what unwashed tobcco is, nakhla mint is one of my favorites (by itself and mixed with other flavors) and delivers a very strong buzz, and hookah-shisha says it's unwashed, but lots of people say that the buzz on tangiers is really intense, and because it's unwashed. Is this similar to the nakhla buzz or does it have more to do with how tangiers is made?

unwashed means the nicotine is not washed away by the well...washing process. thats where the buzz comes from. nahkla says 0.5% but i doubt its that high. Tangiers is .3% and eric said when he tried even higher it was an insanely strong buzz.

Tangiers to me is a stronger buzz than Nahkla. However if you smoke all washed tobacco (the majority of the stuff on the market) then Nahkla will lay you out.

I agree w/scoop. Tangiers is by far, the strongest buzz but nahkla will buzz you if your not used to traditional moassell.I smoke alot of tangiers and don't buzz as much as I used to.But I still get a lift off of unfavored/unwashed styles like al nahkla zahgloul or desi murli!

Hmm Nahkla hardly ever gives me even a minor buzz when I smoke it and I am used to layalina... no buzz at all from that. Maybe i will try some Tangiers after all.

I am not really a big fan of the heavy buzzes, which makes me weary of Tangiers. I like a faint subtle buzz, but not these ones that will lay you out, that you all speak of. I get a nice little buzz off of Nahkla still. I don't smoke it as much or as hard as my other shishas.

i'm gonna try smoking a whole bowl of tangiers, rather than 10 puffs and out(my friend was smoking it, and i had to leave). I don't get buzzed off that much from nakhla, and i don't feel any buzz from pharoah's, which is odd. I remember them having a high buzz shisha

I smoked only Nakhla for a couple of years, I had gotten used to the buzz. I picked up a 250g box of DA recently and it was my first time smoking Nakhla or any unwashed tobacco in like a year or more. The buzz knocked me on my ass, I almost started to feel sick...I HATE buzzes. For reals.

i really dont care for buzzes, it being unwashed in my book is a bit of a turn off, unless im with a bud or two and were sharing it. that way it isnt all on me I enjoy tangiers and i prolly would nakhla, but damn...lol how hard is it to wash leaves lol

While the washing part isn't difficult, the drying and the altercations of production of the tobacco gets a little more tricky. Washing tobacco is also more time consuming and in manufacturing, these additions to the production process add up.

I have days when I really would like to smoke but don't want to get such a buzz I don't feel like moving. I also have days where a buzz is exactly what I need to wind down.

I've been smoking nakhla for years now and i belive tangiers doesnt give as big buzz as nakhla. I smoke tangiers the other night and i got a really small nakhla-style buzz (i mean the light-headedness) but IMO its not as strong as nakhla. I was also hitting pretty hard. if i did the same with nakhla i'd get double the buzz i had with tangiers.

Cheers
