Default wet shisha

I recently bought some havana strawberry banana and its a lot wetter than the nakhla strawberry i used before. Like you can see the syrup moving around in the package a lot. How do dry and wet tobacco need to be handled differently? Sorry i've been asking so many n00b questions but i happen to be a n00b.

Dry tobacco tends to require less heat and works best in an egyptian bowl, wetter ones tend to need a little more heat and taste/last best in a phunnel bowl.

well. it really depends what the wetness is. if its food coloring, then its not a big deal, but if its glycerin and flavorings, that stuff is what gives you the clouds and flavor. may i suggest a phunnel bowl. it is designed in a way so that the flavorings and glycerin do not drip out of your bowl so your session stays better longer

I would recommend a phunnel bowl, it'll be good. The only other problem you might have is that with it being so wet it might tend to clump up on you. You want to make sure you break it up really well, clumps don't smoke well(no air passing through it) and your flavor will die fast.
So basically take your time, just as much attention to detail as you would any well prepared bowl

And the forum is here for questions man. We've all made mistakes before and it's nice for us to be able to say, "yeah, I screwed that up, here is what you want to do to avoid that." So no worries ask away

With that havana you should be a ok with whatever bowl you currently have. You might have a little drippage but who cares . As long as the bowl is still enjoyable. A phunnel right this very second also, may not be an option for you, as it isn't for me . I will get one in due time though.

im gonna be like the rest of the people here but phunnels are nice, but with havana not entirely necessary. As larry said your gonna get some drippage, which isnt a bad bad situation. just means you lose some flavor. there are wetter brands out there that your gonna practically require a phunnel for. Havana is prolly about a medium, high medium on the wet scale

yeah you should pick up some fusion if you think thats wet. but i have smoked havana rose and lemon on a few separate occasions in a regular bowl that holds about 7.5-11 grams and the flavor lasted a bit over an hour with 3 people on a one hoser. so a phunnel isnt needed. especiall if you are a noob lol

if you want to see wet and gross check out layalina...it drips everywhere, its drenched in food coloring, not even reasonable amounts (if such an idea should even exist)

i forgot about layalina. you gotta make sure to put that back in the tub right or else you will have a tub of syrup. a mason jar works better though

When I first got into hookah, a friend brought out a fifty gram pack of strawberry shisha that was all glycerin, accompanied by a few clumps of actual tobacco.

We smoke it anyways and then proceeded to vomit all over his backyard.

hookah hookah isnt dry! the cut is just so fine, and the molasse is aqueous. the tobacco absorbs the molasse, so its looking dry.
i cant take more than half a cococha for smoking hh, cuz its scorching then ...

how much heat a tobacco need, depends on the cut. al fakher or starbuzz e.g. need more heat, than hookah hookah.

Fantasia is a very wet shisha, and carries a lot of flavor. The phunnel bowl keeps the wetness in and not dripping down the stem as with a regular bowl. Usually by the end of my hookah sessions my water in the base is colored due to the regular bowl I use most of the time, haven't had a problem with flavor with Fantasia so I stick with the regular bowl.

True, I find HH needs 1/3 - 1/2 the heat needed for AF and SB

when i pack AF in a small phunnel i start a 3/4 stick of exotica. I start off with 2/4 an the exotica stick on the bowl, as those ash over a bit i add the other 1/4 piece.. with this much heat it doesnt get harsh and the flavor doesn't seem to get distorted.
