I've had a coal split in two on occasion, but other than that, I have had absolutely no problems with Exoticas.

Me either, they split sometimes, but so what, it just means I can move that coal around and have more surface area coverage

I've been getting split lines in the ash. Thought that the coal was breaking apart so I scraped the ash off. Thankfully it was just the ash. I'm down to the last 5 sticks in this box and haven't had a bad one yet. But there's still 5 sticks left. And that being said they will all split, Lol.

I just want to make clear that I'm not bashing exoticas. I feel they are one of the better coals on the market. I've just had a bad experience w/this particular box.

I just hate the lack of quality control, some sticks are great, really top notch coals then the next is shit and lucky to make it to the bowl without breaking apart into pieces that last 15 mins. I'd rather spend a bit more and great coals all the time so once I get low I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and try coconaras, hopefully by then John might try and stock them

I have not heard of any problems so far with the Exoticas that we have, but we have a older batch from about three months ago. I personally don't use them much, but they are considered very high quality charcoals from most of the reviews I've read. Like Huskysibe, I like my Three Kings 33mm quicklights, fast and easy. I have no patience, haha.

I prefer the Akhla's as they burn off the gunpowder in about 3 seconds LOL

I will always use exoticas. I have never had one crumble on me. I have had them have cracks all over them but they never fell apart. They give off good heat and are cheap enough for my budget to support
