Default Re-Flavoring Zona

Zona tobacco is a bit of a different tobacco then what most of you are used to. The juice (Glycerin, Honey, Flavor) is very watery at the bottom of the jar, but the honey causes some of the flavor to stick pretty well to the tobacco leaves. Also, there is absolutely NO food coloring added in.

What i propose to do is to re-wash the Zona tobacco, maybe even just enough to remove the flavor (instead of boiling it), and add a flavor of my own choice. I have the capabilities, (Glycerin, Honey, a wide range of exciting flavors), but i'm not entirely sure it would work.

What do you guys think?

I'm planning on starting today, getting rid of most of the flavor. I am using the Jungle Juice flavor that has absolutely no taste whatsoever, so I'm hoping i can get the flavoring off.

Sounds like a cool idea, you'll have to tell us how it goes. I'd love to try something like that.

Sounds good, but why not just buy bulk dry leaves?

Cause this tobacco is already washed and ready to go. Just needs a rinse.

i dont even think he uses proper flavorings. i think i actually know what he says and its crap.

either way, ive yet to taste anything from any of his tobaccos. i cant imagine how everyone he knows says its the best thing since sliced bread...

wash it and add your flavorings, and glycerin. see how it goes, it cant possibly be any worse

What can one do, in terms of putting actual flavour in the tobacco?

Like for example, if you wanted cola flavour...could you just dump Coca-Cola in the shisha and let it dry out?

Make something nasty, and send it to DMC for a crazy experimentation.

anything you do to zona would make it better than it is as it stands.I just got another sample from ramsey, this time the strawberry. And while I haven't smoked it yet,I can tell you i could make a stronger smelling flavor if I held a tobacco leaf up to my mouth and said"straaawberrrrrrry"!

Well, since I'm about to send your package out in return for those coconaras(which were great, btw),Maybe I'll throw in some more "blank canvas" for your project! Just keep me in mind if you share your finished product, brother!

Actually your not too far from the truth. I have some Plain Moassel Salloum and one of the tricks they say to do is soak it in your favorite beer, or drink, and let it dry out then smoke it. Haven't tried that yet as Plain Moassel needs no additives.

Awesome, if I ever get the chance....I will try to make a good root beer flavoured shisha, or even ginger beer.

watch out zen, too much alcohol in the tobacco + hot coals+ breathing in the alcohol= not very good for the body.

This is rather interesting. Zensilk is a little chemical powerhouse on the forums . That is a shame that Zona tobacco is tasteless. How much does it run? Nothing will ever beat sliced bread, sliced bread keeeps the world in orbit.

You can also find flavoring adds at some of the better stocked smoke shops. One here sells them.
