Default suggestion to vendors

Hey all,

IDK if it's really possible for this, but I was thinking, why don't hookah / shisha vendors carry glycerin? Several of us use it, so it'd be nice to be able to pick up some while making our regular purchases on shisha or charcoal. I needed some to try and moisten some nakhla this afternoon, and went on a wild goose chase and eventually got some from whole foods, but it cost $10 for 4 oz, a lot of money for only a little bit. Other online stores carry it cheaper, but what about convenience. 1 stop shopping, charcoal, shisha, glycerin, etc.

Just a thought.

I get my glycerine from homebrew shops and it costs 3 bucks for 4 onces. It would be nice if shisha suppliers carried it but since I homebrew it doesn't really matter to me personally.

i got glycerin from CVS, i know walgreens has it for like 3 bucks for a rather large amount

glycerin is part of the smoke component. however it needs to be applied in small amounts, adding too much glycerin adds a disgusting taste.

Unless a vendor is willing to purchase a 55gal drum of glycerin (and that's A LOT) they will most likely face the same charges the regular consumer faces.

Just plain vegetable based, John. Had to go to Whole Foods to get some here. None of the CVS/Walgreens had any.

I lived in the states for quite some time and I never heard of CVS so what is it?

As for gylcerine if you plan on using with tobacco it has to be food grade vegetable glycerine. I get mine from homebrew mail order shops.

I think CVS used to be called Rite-Aid or something of the sort. CVS' aren't all over the US.

YIKES!
And here I was thinking I got ripped by my local health food market for selling a 16oz bottle for eight bucks!

What size would you want to buy? that would be simple to package and ship, I buy 55 gallons at a time..so let me know...expecially if your a website, carry my tobacco, and i will sell you glycerine all day long if you want...
once I figure out the packaging on a new product, this type of thread will be useless...
i have a flavor enchancer in the works that is just awesome for any tobacco, but shisha especially..
just very hard to package affordably..(nice spelling but it is 5:43am here right now.lol)

CVS is the direct competitor of Walgreens.

OK ok... There is longs drug store, Rite Aide, CVS (used to be Eckards here in the Dirty) Walgreens, I think that is all the "drug store" corner marts. - As for gylcerine no go at Walgreens, and CVS (Apparently northern FL doesn't get any other cool shops! )

All these shops usually have significantly higher prices but stay in business due to the loss leader technique, monthly rebates, and customer reward programs. Because I would never normally pay 6.99 for a 24 load of tide detergent, 4.99 for a 4 pack of batteries or 24.99 for scrubbing bubbles automatic shower cleaner.
