Default buying clearance hookahs?

good or bad idea?

i don't really care about the looks, just the way it smokes.

i've been looking at the sahara smoke clearance hookahs and they're pretty cheap, especially with the hookahpro coupon. and the free shipping....

soo has anyone had any experience with clearance hookahs? or recommendations?

or is it a hit or miss thing?

thanks

they sell them with visual defects, so anything you buy will smoke like the full price rig. If you're fine with some defects then go for it

My friend bought a sahara clearence. He had to mess with the stem grommet a little bit to fix in the base. The hoses all had leaks in them, but if you can get over those two things then go right ahead. Homemade hoses are relatively cheap to make and with the grommet just some wet paper towel will do the trick, other than that it smokes pretty nice. Other than that it just has a few cosmetic flaws.

Well they are sahara rigs.. and then they are clearance. I would go with a Social Smoke Clearance, honestly.

nevermind thewir aren't any. I would go with Hookah-Shsiha central then.

Sahara and Hookah Hookah have the best vases, and the best prices on HH and HF tobaccos. Not really great stems. These defects could be anything, from rust to leaks.

yeah i bought my very first rig from caravasani imports or whatever it's called. the hookah was ok....you get what you pay for though.

but i just don't need the flash and chrome of a new $80 hookah...

so i guess i'll go with the best looking (clearance) deal. not cheapest...but better quality and good price.

yes or no for sahara smoke?

what about HS?

thanks for all the quick responses too...i appreciate it greatly

are they returnable? because if they aren't i wouldn't go for it. they might have visual defects but even some of the hookah sold have defects that affect normal working capacity and they sell them as new without any clue...the customer finds out and returns it (in some cases you wont find out till you smoke and they wont even replace it) but with a clearance one probably dont even have the option to get a refund in any aspect.

Sahara clearance is cheaper also because they do not include any of the freebies. No case, no shisha no coals. The descriptions state "hoses missing tips, visible welding marks, repairable hose valve leaks, and dull spots on the stem; visible glue marks, strings unraveling, and reparable leaks in the hoses; slight chips or wobble in the vase". Anyone suprised by anything on that list shouldn't have bought one. I do not own a Sahara yet so I will not make comments on the quality. However I will be buying one soon.

No they are not returnable and I'm not looking for the extras. I get my AF from AF online...and I'm looking into buy Hookah Freak or Hookah Hookah shisha from Saraha....

And the hoses I'll probably either make my own or get one from another online company.

so I guess I'll be purchasing one sometime soon and I'll tell you how it goes.

and if you have any serious objections to me buying a Sahara clearance hookah then please do inform me. i don't want to be wasting my money. other than that....wish me luck!!

Lets be realistic here for a minute. If you are just an occasional smoker forget buying your own rig and go to a cafe to smoke once or twice a month.

If you plan on smoking regularly note that within a year you'll spend a few hundred on shisha and coals. In order to enjoy smoking you need a good narghile and Sahara doesn't exactly have a brilliant reputation when it comes to stems so while you can make just about anything work the real question is if you get a mediocre or great sessions. If you are buying something that has defects expect the rig to not last out the year.

If you stop and think about it you can get a great narghile for 100 that will last you a lot of years, look great and give fantastic sessions. Or you can spend 50 for something that while decent is far from great that will likely be ready for the rubbish bin in less then a year.

Think we are looking at a fools economy in the latter case.
