Default AF change the cut of their tobacco?

I have smoked 3 different flavors from the new batch of Al Fahker and it looks like they have changed the cut of their tobacco. I have smoked Berry, Pipe and Peach and the cut of the tobacco is alot smaller thanI remember. There is alot of juice in AF and with the smaller cut it gives it a mushy consistency that clogs the bowl holes. It reminds me a little of the cut of Potion, but not swimming in as much juice as Potion is. Each of the 2 flavors I smoked out of an Egyptian clay bowl wouldn't smoke right due to the holes clogging. It is disappointing to me that such a nice solid smoke has to change. I'm not always in the mood for a funnel bowl pack, as it's a bit much for a solo session. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I've noticed that too. My tub of Esk Apple is a med to rough cut yet all the new 50g packs I've recently tried is like you describe, I use a few discarded bits of stem from other tobacco placed in the bottom of the bowl when not using a phunnel and that tends to stop the holes clogging.

I've noticed it too but it actually works wonders for me. the AF grenadine lasted way longer than the other AF flavs I have tried (the old cut) and the flavor never died down. I also got HUGE eff off clouds (lol) from that shisha and the holes in my egyptian bowl didn't clog up.

certainly is! AF opened a new facility last year. This when we saw the "other" issue arise.

AF Pipe flavor is pretty tasty. It tastes mainly like chocolate, but there is a slight tobacco undertone too. If it didn't clog the holes in my bowl and produced thicker smoke it would have been better. I need to write a review of it.

Yea I've noticed that , I was having AF grape 250g it was juicy and very ritch in color but the taste wasn't so good , but the next one I bought 1kg march 2008 was good , medium cut like the old one but lesser juice :S the color is brownish , taste better than the one I bought earlier.

Yup I have seen this too. My AF lemon cocktail and berry are the old af cut. My af mint was 08 batch I believe and it was a fine fine cut mushy type thing going on. Personally I am not too big of a fan towards both of the cuts lol. The mushy one isn't too bad if it doesn't clog holes.

I hate packing bowls of Al Fakher by hand. It's nearly impossible to get that perfect fluff.

That's why I use oyster forks to pack every bowl.
