Default Flavors

I've just started smoking hookah, just got my first one.

Some of the flavors I've tried:

Starbuzz - exotic blueberry
Starbuzz - exotic strawberry
Fantasia - white grape
Fantasia - cherry coke

To me all these flavors... really had no flavor. I see reviews of people smoking and they say it has tons of flavor, but I really can't taste it. Just simply tastes like plain smoke. Although they smell really nice. Do any of you guys have suggestions of some way I can make the flavor come out some more? or are my taste buds just broke? lol

I have a small hookah about 12 inches, just plain bowl and everything. not sure if it makes a diff, just thought I'd add it just in case.

i think those SB flavors are a little weak, but i've never had those fantasia flavors. What kind of coals are you using?
Getting a phunnel bowl will help a lot, along with a clean hookah.

I use Kwikstart silver Charcoal Tablets. I've cleaned my hookah after every use. I'll look into getting a phunnel bowl then. any flavors that actually have lots of taste that you could recommend?

Hmmm. AF mint, grenadine, watermelon, golden grape, rose, and pipe are all great tasting flavors.
with the kwikstarts, make sure they are COMPLETELY lit. After, blow off all the silver coating, and you're good to go.
I recommend coco-nara/exotica if you want the best flavor though.

Ah, that may be it. I just waited till they are red on the bottom. didn't really worry about the rest. top and sides were still silver coated =/

I'll give those coals a try and the flavors too. thanks for the help!

Yeah usually when coals aren't fully lit, you can't taste the flavors much at all!

Just make sure they're lit like kevin said and your good to go!

No, no.

Go with Canary Golden Charcoal. The most stable coal on the market for now.
