They have several brands that aren't normally found at other sites. I'd love to try some but won't be a guinea pig with my cash! LOL They have Abed Elkader, Al-Ouns, Al-Sultan, and Saet Safa. If you look at the amount you get some are right expensive.

It looks like some lazy way of smoking. Where the hell is the fun in that?? What if it's low quality tobacco? You get screwed.

these shisha companies need to come up with better names. I am all for traditional/authenticty but JC, abed elkader?
I think most of SB's success is from name and marketing. If you want an arabic name I think Layalina is great since it is pronouncable to nonArabic speaking folks.
Good luck trying to pronounce Al Fakher and Nakhla correctly.
Sultan is a descent name, Wazir, Al Waha is OK.
What do you guys think about this?

I don't think their main market is US customers...but if they'd like to sell more, yeah, it makes sense to use a well thought out name that appeals to the US market. Personally, I don't mind not knowing how to exactly pronounce names of tobaccos lol. as long as they are in my bowl, it's allllll gooooood

I agree, I don't think the tobacco companies even planned on marketing in the US. I guess it's just smoking-hookah.com advertising some local products in israel or something

Personaly, I would be more inclined to buy something w/a traditional arabic name than a product w/a name that was overtly western.when arabic products take on western names that just indicates to me the this product will be soaked in dye and glycerin and be the tobacco equevlant to a jolly rancher candy.see tonic, pharaohs, ect.

LOL Now that John mentions it that name might stop me from buying it. Looks like a redneck trying to say Abed Al-Qaeda!

I've been smoking it for 3 years. Its from next-door Jordan, not so expensive but it is a long smoking shisha with some very nice tastes. The mint is very different from anything I've ever had. The peach is good, the candy great the Rose my favourite. Banana-Cherry is wild. I get it from smoking-Hookah.com who buy it in Jordan and ship it to the USA and then ship from the East-West coasts.

Don't take my word for it, since I do some work for Smoking-hookah.com, but a good portion of my pay is in company produce. I mainly order Abed El -Kahder from them since other shisha they sell or not is available locally all over the place. "Premium" is an over used word. My only problem with Abed El-Kahder is that they don't have ore than 12 or so flavours and the number is rising. Once they had 4 or 5.They are working on quality, not quantity. Its a Jordanian company. But everyone has their own personnal prefferences. I happen to love their flavours. The cherry is not as good as other cherry. they have a nice Cherry-Banana. The Peach I've had better. The others I am crazy for.

smoking-hookah.com has centers on the East and West coast of USA, France to europe, but are based out of Hertziliyah,Israel on the Mediterranean Sea Coast a bit north of Tel-Aviv. They do buy from Egypt and Jordan straight.

Yes, since I do some work for them, I've had two flavours.Cherry and double-apple. Its called "Mabruk" ("Welcome" or "Be Blessed" in Arabic).
the set up is simple, the foil is already punched and the shisha lasts around 70 minutes with good quick lite coals with no after-taste. I'm going to be fair and say this. for a newbie's first time just to see if shisha -hookah is nice, it's a great ready made. For the beach its terrific since there is no spillage, nothing to dirty your fingers with glycerine, just open light the coals on the side and add.
I have no idea which brand shisha they are using. Its Israeli made set up and the shisha seems to my taste as Jordanian "Al-Sultan".

I notice you are a bit biased as a competing company? There are 2 flavours, double-apple and cherry. I would only use it as a terrific smoke with no hassles on the beach myself.

The name is the name of the Brand company in Jordan. They have probably been making shisha even before California became a state. What should they call it "Slim Jim"? Knowing some Arabic its quite a beautiful name. Take "Saet-Safa" also Jordanian which means "Moment of Pleasure". What should they call it "Budweiser"?"Coors"? "Domino's Pizza".

Secondly, 2 things got messed and mixed on this thread. The "Mabruk" ready made shisha capsule, and Abed-el Khader shisha, which has around 15 flavours now, 13 of which I love madly. Yo will never see me reviewing "Starbuzz""Tangiers" etc. since I don't want my shisha shipped from halfway accross the world when my Jordanian and Egyptian friends and neighbors have low cost,non-taxed great shisha on every street corner to by.
would it be intelligent to say "Yeah "Tangiers", looks like you need a PHD. to prepare it right" when I've never smoked it? Lets be fair and learn to say "I have no opinion cuz I never had any".
