Soex Sweet Melon

Shisha Cut: Looks like shredded bamboo skewer material, pretty dry too.

Hookah Type:22" Egyptian

Duration: 30 minutes, lack of juice must have sped things up a bit.

Foil / Screen: Reynolds Heavy duty foil 1 layer

Coal / Amount: 2 Pharoah's Elite Golden Quick lite

Smoke: Nice dense clouds

Buzz: None but I wasn't expecting one either.

Smell / Flavor: Melon like but something else like a faint mint scent. (might be the herbal part) Tasted like it smells.


Rating (1 to 10): 6/10 Didn't like the shredded bamboo look, too dry, not as melon like as I thought it would be. I won't bother with it again.



Soex Silver Fox


Shisha Cut: Same as above but had some juice.

Smell / Flavor: Licorice and mint no apple smell at all. Tasted like it smelled.

Rating (1 to 10): 7/10 Taste was decent, but still don't like the cut, could have been juicier

Shisha Cut: Looks like shredded bamboo skewer material. Decent amount of juice

Hookah Type: 22" Egyptian

Duration: 40 minutes

Bowl: Egyptian Clay Bowl

Foil / Screen: Reynolds Heavy Duty 1 layer

Coal / Amount: 2 Pharoah's Elite Golden Quick lites

Smoke: Decent smoke, nice clouds could have been denser.

Buzz: None, but I wasn't expecting one.

Smell / Flavor: Berry scented but something else like a faint mint scent. (might be the herbal part). Had a definite berry taste but not necessarily Blackberry. Also same mint aftertaste.



Rating (1 to 10): 6/10 Didn't like the shreaded bamboo look, Not as berry tasting as I would have liked, smoke not as dense as it could have been. I won't bother with it again.


Soex Rooh Afza Cool (described as Rooh Afza is a popular natural cold drink in India and Pakistan. Made from extracts of citrus flowers, rose, and fruits.)

Shisha Cut: Looks like shredded bamboo skewer material. Juicy.

Hookah Type: 22" Egyptian

Duration: 10 Minutes, I couldn't finish it!

Smoke: Decent amount of smoke, but in this case that isn't a good thing! LOL

Smell / Flavor: Weird kinda rose incense artificial scent. Yuck! Tastes like old ladies perfume smells!

Rating (1 to 10): 1/10 Didn't like the shredded bamboo look, nasty tasting, cheap rose perfume smell, waste of coals, need I say more?

Soex Choco Mint

Shisha Cut: Looks like shredded bamboo skewer material. Decent amount of juice

Hookah Type: 22" Egyptian

Duration: 40 minutes

Bowl: Egyptian Clay Bowl

Foil / Screen: Reynolds Heavy Duty 1 layer

Coal / Amount: 2 Pharoah's Elite Golden Quick lites

Smoke: Decent amount of smoke, nice clouds!

Buzz: None, but I wasn't expecting one.

Smell / Flavor: Smelled kinda like a Junior Mint. Had a nice chocolate mint taste. Had an after taste that I didn't care for, but overall it was the best Soex flavor I've tried.

Rating (1-10): 7.5 I still have to ding the points for the bamboo skewer texture, needed to be juicier, and after taste didn't help either. If you have a tobacco free friend who wants to try the hookah get this flavor or Silver Fox. So far they are the only acceptable ones I've tried.


Soex Mixed Fruit

Shisha Cut: Looks like shredded bamboo skewer material. Not dry but needed to have more juice. "I likah da juice!" LOL

Foil / Screen: Reynolds Heavy Duty 1 layer

Smoke: Decent smoke, nice clouds could have been denser.

Buzz: None, but I wasn't expecting one.

Smell / Flavor: Smelled somewhat fruity with the usual mint smell and a soapy smell for lack of a better term. Tasted about like it smelled.

Rating (1-10): 5 Usual Soex texture, lack of juice, soap smell and taste, and usual after taste.

Shisha Cut: looked like chewed up toothpicks. sorta moist

Hookah Type: 21 egyptian

Duration: maybe 45 minutes to an hour. we were smoking slow, i was drunk and the girl was painting

Bowl: egyptian

Foil / Screen: heavy duty foil

Coal / Amount: 2 pieces of exoticas that were broken to w/e length makes them almost a perfect cube. and a windcover

Smoke: suprisingly thick

Buzz: nope

Smell / Flavor: smelled good, like every other rose shisha i have smelled. the flavor was quite weak and lasted only for maybe the first half

Rating (1 to 10): not too good. it didnt have a woody taste like everyone says but it felt woody in my lungs in a way. the smoke had a weird feeling in my mouth too, almost like it left a film. i guess since at the hookah bar closest to me you can only smoke this stuff inside, (tobacco is outside only) i could put up with it just so i could have a smoke indoors during the cold months

it was surprisingly nice, as i expected it to be a waste of time, being herbal and all. but surprisingly good smoke, nice and smooth, a little taste on the inhale, and lots on the exhale. overall, pleasing.

Smell / Flavor: smelled like peach but tasted like a flower of some kind. Not powerful like al waha rose or jasmines but lite and flowery

Rating (1 to 10): 1/10 I tried this again and it was just horrible. Honestly, this doens't even taste like peach. It tastes like I'm smoking a toothpick or a branch off a tree.

Smell / Flavor: smells and tastes like mint. Not a plant like mint as some other brands, but more of a lite "floss" mint flavoring.

Rating (1 to 10): 8-9. I love mint flavors and this was actually pretty decent. It gives a nice cool kick and mixes well with other flavors like coconut nakhla and vanilla al waha. not my favorite but not disappointing

Overall Rating: 2/10 This stuff just sucks, I could totally taste the coals and the herbal stuff has some kind of flowery taste to it. Just no good.

First Soex review

Strawberry and cherry mixed

Cut: usual woodchippy cut

hookah: 16 inch egyptian

duration: 30 minutes until the crappy rolland coals burned out

bowl: regular egyptian

foil: reynolds ...just regular old foil

smoke: not very dense...but maybe because of the coals

buzz: none

taste: didn't taste bad but it did taste very weak. the mix was ok...just not the best...

this was my second smoke. my first was pina colada...sooooo i might be editing the review but until now, this is where i stand.

6/10 overall. needs more juice, and a better cut

Smell / Flavor: The smell and flavor reminded me of orange runts candy. It held the flavor the full 45 mins.

Rating (1 to 10): 7/10 I like orange runts so this one was enjoyable. However it left a strange film in my mouth or I would have rated it a bit higher.

Smoke: Pretty thick once it got hot enough

Smell / Flavor: Smelled like a monthol cough drop....I was afraid to smoke it lol. Once everything got going it really wasn't bad. The flavor was very light but you could tell it was there. The one thing I really liked about this flavor was for the first 30 mins or so, the smoke left a nice cooling sensation down your whole windpipe. Really nice! I added a small piece of a still burning coco nara and the smoke got even thicker with no heat issues.

Rating (1 to 10): 5/10 Smell Was amazing So it got points for that Taste in the beginning Was good and slowly went downhill so it lost points on that, Over all it wasnt that bad but was still below average

Smell / Flavor: Not quite blueberry more like blueberry mixed in with an overwhelming sour berry of some kind (smells pretty good). This gave very little flavor, although it did taste like blueberries, but burnt. Defiantly not a very good first impression.

Rating (1 to 10): 2, but just because I like blueberries so much.

Smell / Flavor: Like the mintos candies, an artificial mint smell. Actually This stuff smelled pretty strongly shortly after a minute or two of having the package open the room smelled like twenty people where chewing mintos directly around me. Even though this had a decent amount of moisture to it and strong smell, it still didn't give off that overwhelming mint candy taste. Sure It tasted like it smelled but a much weaker version,still not bad I would probably try again if given the chance.

Rating (1 to 10):6 out of 10 If this had thicker smoke and a much stronger taste it would have been much higher.

Smell / Flavor: It smelled like mint, with and sweet undertone, the flavor was the same as the smell. it was really fresh and good for a soex. nothing special but definatly smokeable for a herbal one

Rating (1 to 10): 7.5/10, I had big clouds and a flavour that lasted 50 minute of the 1 hour and 15 minutes, a good flavour.

Shisha Cut: like shredded fine bark lol, quite splintery, very fine and thin.

Hookah Type: huge 3 hoser MYA hookah

Duration: umm bout 20 minutes..

Bowl: umm, just a clay bowl that came with it lol, fairly deep.

Foil / Screen: 2 layers of just normal aluminium foil

Coal / Amount: 1 golden river quick lite coal

Smoke: at the start there was hardly nothing, after about 5 minutes it was thick and really nice. huge clouds.

Buzz: pfft nothing lol. its HERBAL

Smell / Flavor: oh my god! the smell is AMAZING, u can smell it in the the box, the most awesome sweet bubblegum smell lol, even my friends were amazed how good it was! but when u smoke it, u can't really taste the bubblegum, u can faintly on the tip of your mouth, but not like your eating bubblegum LOL.. not very flavourful, but my theory is because it was a 3 hose hookah, the flavour gets weaker, i reckon on a single hoser it will be stronger. meh, it was alrite for cheap herbal stuff.

Rating (1 to 10): 7-10this stuff is alrite for being herbal, it smells insane, but the smoke doesnt taste that much bubblegum. still good tho, and worth a try.

Smoke: nice & pretty thick after a few minutes

Buzz: none, but this crap gives me a headache

Smell / Flavor: real strong watermelon smell, quite sugary & average taste

Rating (1 to 10): 6/7 if the taste was stronger and it didn't give me (and my friend) a headache then it could be rather good..

Rating (1 to 10): 1/10. even a one is to high. im trying to stay away from tobacco use for my gf cause her mother past from smoking but this shit is not an alternative
